Hey Adrien, I can completely understand why you are moving. What I find very inspiration about you is that you are very robust, you very well planned and you do your research. What's awesome is that you share your experiences honestly. I'm sure you will find that special someone :) Take care of yourself and thank you so much for sharing your experiences! You an inspiration!
Good thing to do this when you’re still young, able to learn a new language, can date easily and have the energy to deal with the transition because I know at my age (early 50’s), I couldn’t be bothered with the process. I did this when I was 23 but I wouldn’t contemplate it now. Hope you’ll be happy and successful there!
So glad you are enjoying Lisbon. As a point of difference to Italy and Spain, I found Portugal a more laid back/chilled environment and as a result the people are more friendly.
I'm excited that you're excited with your decision to move to Lisbon. I enjoyed your videos from Bali, will enjoy your videos from Lisbon. I wish you well.
Heyyy, welcome to Europe. I can feel how much you enjoy the simple life, dating, culture, walking around and discovering everything. I am looking forward to your settling in and adventures. When P. becomes familiar you can hop over to any european city in a 1-2 hour flight, the whole continent will become your home.
Hello from CA. Enjoyed your comment, "I don't want to die alone in Bali" & you got up and did something about it. Bravo! "Never back, always forward".....Going outside and be able to walk is special!
Ive been visited or lived in Bali , Mexico City, Madrid exc. But Lisbon is the love. First time 10 years ago. Second time a year ago. I’ve been to every place you mention except LCD trip. Currently in Turkey, going thru similar waves. 180/90.
Dear Adrian, Happy Holidays & welcome to my 🇵🇹. Humbled you chose us, but we r so close to 🇪🇸. We r far from perfect, but we hv a few hidden gems. It may not be for all but we must weight out good vs. bad. Lisbon is my city, I ❤️ it like no other, but you had to live here 40 years ago, when it was truly magical; at least for the child I was then, it was! We are a blessed country in so many ways. This Winter is a pretty wet and muggy one, but we were in draught situation, so it's welcomed. We are thankful for rain & many other small (big) things. This is not PAR, LON or MAD, it's a very simple place but we are a rather nice but also complex group of people; liberatingly interesting I find. I also hate humidity. When u find ur perm place, u may want to get a dehumidifier. Leroy Merlin sells a 12liter one @159€, & a 16L @€179; great products that make a huge difference in humidity levels at home. I am not advertising... it's the only place that sells this brand, but our Summers make 👆 for our Winter humidity. Do venture out of Lisbon. There are amazing places here within 🇵🇹, which is pretty much a case of the photo competing with its frame. Hope ur visa process goes off without a hitch and that you settle in beautifully. Remember, patience here is imperative as🇵🇹 lives on a totally different beat. Blessings 🙏🎄🥰🇵🇹😍
Obrigado pelo bem-vindo 🤗 I’ve been here a month only but I can see what a special and unique place it is! I am so excited to start a new life here and agree with everything you’ve written 🇵🇹
@@AdrienField TY Adrian that's sweet of you. There is certainly a "je ne sais quoi" about Lisbon that is just special. I have lived abroad, including the US and visited 45 countries, yet just the light, sky and River Tejo bring me to tears everytime I arrive home. I hope we dont let u down and that you stay with us forever! 🤗🥂
Adrian, you look fantastic and glowing with excitement on your new adventure in Lisbon glad to here you a mingling with the locals and dating. I am so happy for you and wish you all the very best. xxx
Best of luck with the move Adrien and given what Bali seems to be becoming, I fully understand. I really look forward to future vids on Portugal, a place I've never been!
Adrian!!! I started watching your channel when you were in Bali. I love, love, love your home there. I'm also moving to Portugal and am so excited for you that you've discovered Lisbon. See you there ❤
I’m really grateful to have found this video. I’ve been looking at Bali as a place to move. I’m a bit older than you and the points that you brought up are what resonated the most with me. Weather, dating, music, walkability. Ironically, Portugal has been on my list as well, but I have yet to go there. Travel plans for 2023!
Wow, so nice to see this video and to feel how you love Lisbon so much! I do love it too; I'm from here and record a lot in Lisbon. The cobblestones, the architecture... the climate and the light. It was very nice to hear you say all that and much more. I wish you an amazing life in Portugal! :) Cheers from Lisbon! :)
Hi Adrien, I have been following your Bali videos closely the last 2 years since covid started. Will miss you Bali adventures. But your travel videos have been very professional and original. Will keep following you in your adventure. Keep it up!!
Lisbon , Portugal has been on my bucket list. I think Europe is amazing. My good friends here in AK are going to retire in Spain, very close to Portugal. They have selected a town by the ocean. In addition, Bali is making serious VISA changes, making it more difficult for those who already had been lining there. Mainly called second home visa, but you don’t qualify as a retiree. Change is good! Bali is beautiful but a person can get in a rut there. I think Bali is like on hamster wheel regarding growth. They are trying to forcefully change that by changing the VISA qualification for those who want to live there long term. I like that you are moving for future mental, spiritual and personal growth. I think it would be awesome if you share the steps on how you are making this transaction (paperwork etc on visa). Including the agencies you have used to make the move happen.
great choice for a new life. Portugal is a stunning country has an amazing n rich culture and Lisbon is really beautiful and has the most pastry shops anywhere 😆 My background is Portuguese so that’s a tick from me. Sintra is a lovely place, I went there many years ago. Not sure if you visited the castle but there is a hall or room where there are open books on the tables as they were placed centuries ago. This room was where the announcement was made that the sea route to India was found during the Portuguese Maritime expansion. Fatima is also an interesting place to visit, where the apparations of the ‘Other’ Madonna (not the Vogueing one) took place lol. I think you will be happy there and hope you find a hot young Portuguese husband to spend ur days drinking red wine and listening to Fados all day 😆 kinda sad that u won’t be reporting from Bali but guess it’s time to move on. All the very best Adrien 🙏
I've been watching your videos for a few years now and while I've loved getting a look into your Bali life, I'm very excited to see your Portugal life! I'm also planning on moving there (just for a year though) at some point next year on the Youth Mobility Visa. I've heard horror stories about the bureaucracy - hope it isn' toooo bad.
In general the Portuguese are far more kind and open(minded) compared to the Spanish and most speak at least a bit English. Portugal will welcome you. And bye the way, in my opinion you start a new chapter in your life of which you have only one. Be happy!
Mate, shame you aren't joining us in Madrid but Lisbon is gorgeous. As a transplant to Madrid from Sydney, Portugal does seem easier to move to. Apparently an announcement on the Spanish digital nomad visa is coming soon (but who know when). Hasta luego Adrien!
Well done, Adrien! A great option for those who are not from a Former Spanish Colony like me (I'm from the Philippines you know 🇵🇭). Learning a language can help you survive not just in Portugal but when you take a break in Brazil. And also for a Mediterranean climate? That's perfect for you (nice climate there). Good luck in your journey to become a European Citizen! 🇪🇺🇵🇹🙏🙏👍👍🌟🌟🌟💓💓💓
Hey, what is the language school are you taking classes at ? I am looking into moving to Lisbon to . However, I must apply for a visa from USA. And I am currently in Turkey.
Would you consider adding some real shots of the environment instead of the camera focusing on your face ? Gentle suggestion to make the video more interesting

I feel you. I've lived in both and the humidity in Bali is overwhelming

I don’t recommend the one I went to
Knew he was gonna make the move. 🎉
What about your US citizenship? You still remain as US citizenship? Take care and miss your Bali content too.
Com essa mustache ,tas em casa !
Sophisticated people don’t use the term “EDM” when describing dance music. 🤣
Would you consider adding some real shots of the environment instead of the camera focusing on your face ? Gentle suggestion to make the video more interesting
Pode praticar português comigo :)
