Gfriend was truly a cultural reset in so many ways!🙌 It made way for the cute school girl that impacted 3rd generation kpop, then came with Fingertip that was super underrated because it was ahead of it’s time, then started complicated storylines with TFTMN (that everyone went crazy about) and it also inspired for hard dances to be standard like how SHINee did it for the boygroups. They also created the 2x dance challenge and much more! Even tho they may have disbanded, they’ll always be queens and have left a good mark on kpop today🙌❤️
I love both groups and i think that they are really talented, but actually they don't have a lot of song that they were THAT big with a powerful impact, idk why since their songs are amazing and their discography >>>
Apart from this being the best nostalgia trip for my 2nd gen K-pop boomer heart, I am LOVING all of the comments for Dreamcatcher, they are the only group I love just as much as Girls' Generation and I'm sososososo happy that they are finally getting the recognition they deserve. PS: add CLC - I like it, that song is *chef's kiss* PSS: Sting by Stellar was SOTY material.

WOMEN OF KPOP WAS A CULTURE THEMSELVES WE STAN! 💖 *Being a multi is so good*
I’m so happy they included the youngest and newest Kpop girl group Everglow. They literally introduced me to kpop like a month ago after I listened to La di da by accident and I was like wtf is this. I don’t know any other kpop groups apart from them but after watching this compilation I don’t think the other groups can top Everglow’s songs sorry I know I’m new at this but they don’t have the wow factor to me. The only other group I saw in this list and whose songs caught my attention was dreamcatcher when I heard a couple of songs that I was interested in they all said dreamcatcher below
And if u like more strong and empowered and women concepts I will say checkout mamamoo they are sooo fierce and talented every member has the potential to become a soloist if u start stanning mamamoo u will not regret trust me
A lot of older kpop groups have wow factors as well! I just think it takes time for some people when they first start listening to kpop to truly appreciate a lot of the older stuff since it sounds different to the norm :)
im a bit offended that A by Rainbow or some popular Secret songs like Madonna or Magic were not in the list, but other than that it was the best "iconic songs" ranking i've seen :D most people ignore pre 2012 songs unless its snsd or 2ne1 so thanks for that!
I just wanna add Jessi's Nunu Nana, CL's HWA and Hwasa's Maria. These are also some of the sledgehammer songs for the conservative and narrow minded people in kpop industry.

For Moomos!
7:53 - You're the Best
8:52 - Decalcomanie
11:52 - Egotistic
13:27 - Hip
Honourable Mention:
10:22 - I (Knew It) - Sonamoo
thanks i was looking for this comment
im shocked that gogobebe isnt on this list
@@seb8532 i know! so was I...
@@seb8532 I was surprised Hwasa's Twit or Maria wasn't. They were huge!
I would add more loona and dreamcatcher personally, but anyways, stan women
+numberofnctmembers
lol
I totally agree whit u
I love both groups and i think that they are really talented, but actually they don't have a lot of song that they were THAT big with a powerful impact, idk why since their songs are amazing and their discography >>>
This is why everyone should stan all these Groups
Help I can't even stan at least 2 groups
Butterfly.
That’s it. That’s the comment
I mean the choreography is amazing
Apart from this being the best nostalgia trip for my 2nd gen K-pop boomer heart, I am LOVING all of the comments for Dreamcatcher, they are the only group I love just as much as Girls' Generation and I'm sososososo happy that they are finally getting the recognition they deserve.
PS: add CLC - I like it, that song is *chef's kiss*
PSS: Sting by Stellar was SOTY material.
I’M SO FREAKING HAPPY THAT DREAMCATCHER’S DEJA VU AND SCREAM WAS INCLUDED HERE!!! NOBODY CAN PULL OFF THEIR ROCK GENRE AND CONCEPT!! K ROCK MUST BE APPRECIATED MORE IN KOREA✨💙 STAN DREAMCATCHER YALL
They are a kpop group
Was surprised that "Boca" wasn't on the list after seeing those other two songs
i was kinda expecting for bar bar bar to be in this list😬
Also Honey (Kara) and Shy Boy (Secret)
Same
not to be rude but i dont consider that as a 'cultural reset' but more of as a 'one hit wonder' :cc they deserved more tbh
@@atsuki18 Crayon Pop themselves were a cultural reset lol
@@user-bi5op4tb4q how
The way the entire atmosphere of the video changed when chase me dropped
The fact that for most of this video, my late childhood+teenage days literally just flashed by, was Fascinating! GG, KARA, AFTER SCHOOL, RED VELVET, DREAMCATCHER, GFRIEND.. ETC
Basically just literally EVERY SINGLE artist in here :))
It was such a fun ride to have Kpop as my gateway from life while growing up that it didn't strike me until recently!
WOMEN OF KPOP WAS A CULTURE THEMSELVES WE STAN! 💖
*Being a multi is so good*
I’m so happy they included the youngest and newest Kpop girl group Everglow.
Yes dreamcatcher is sooo underrated
And if u like more strong and empowered and women concepts I will say checkout mamamoo they are sooo fierce and talented every member has the potential to become a soloist if u start stanning mamamoo u will not regret trust me
@@unknownwitch5042 I will check that out thanks
@@QrlzM ur welcome update me later
A lot of older kpop groups have wow factors as well! I just think it takes time for some people when they first start listening to kpop to truly appreciate a lot of the older stuff since it sounds different to the norm :)
This video is exactly why I’m such a gg Stan!!
I will never understand people who only like boy groups cuz girl groups are “only too cute or too girl crush” cuz that’s just not true at all.
The fact you included dreamcatcher makes me so happy!!
im a bit offended that A by Rainbow or some popular Secret songs like Madonna or Magic were not in the list, but other than that it was the best "iconic songs" ranking i've seen :D most people ignore pre 2012 songs unless its snsd or 2ne1 so thanks for that!
Yas SECRET 😭
yeah, madonna is why i started with kpop, it was so iconic
Poison was also a great bop
talk that was mentioned, but yeah poison should 200% be there
Omg yes rainbow I forgot about them
I just wanna add Jessi's Nunu Nana, CL's HWA and Hwasa's Maria. These are also some of the sledgehammer songs for the conservative and narrow minded people in kpop industry.
Yeah so true and jessi's who that b
Stay Tonight is the definition of a cultural reset as it is not only one of the most unique sounding songs in K-pop, but the MV continuously breaks stereotypes and social norms, and introduces culture into the dance with the vogue style. STAN.QUEEN.CHUNGHA.
This is so powerful I love women
Same.
mamamoo's existence is a whole ass cultural reset
This is the truest sentence I've ever heard in my entire life.
I'm surprised Hwasa's Maria wasn't included!! All good that it wasn't but I was hoping it would be!
@@a.b.390 And their new comeback aya😔 i mean the concept was just so new I've never seen such concept from a kpop group before.
@@eweewee3180 what was the concept of aya? i havent seen it yet and just heard a snippet of the song when they sang it for the dingo channel along with their other songs
tbh the music they made at first was very cool cuz everyone was doing pop and then they came in like BAAM! but then their music turned towards pop as well which was kinda disappointing but i havent heard their b-sides so maybe they have songs that have the same feel as their debit songs there! i still love their songs now tho, HIP? has been stuck in my head since it came out and i will ALWAYS watch the entire performance or video that has them performing it. actually they dont really have a bad song (im not used to dingga yet lol and havent really heard much of aya or wind flower but the rest are bangers)
The fact that Kim Lip and Chuu are in this list despite despite being soloists for a just a period of time is - - 🤧🤧🤧.
Mamamoo just being cultural reset by existing as the queens they are also... hobgoblin yesss
Of course our SinB Ssi ends with Mago, it fits perfectly, and tbh I was waiting to see Mago when we were around the end of the video, it's amazing, I love that it's our outro
The way 2ne1 started the girl crush revolution. SO ICONIC
YES!!! They did THAT!!! Untouchable Legends
Actually the concept is "badass". Girl crush would be Girls Generation I think
@@sofiagilardi9490 no it was 2ne1
@@nayantarak897 2ne1 was badass
Sofia gilardi is right here. There's definitely a distinction between badass and girl crush (Blackpink is more that a lot of the times minus maybe Kill This Love). 2NE1 started out (Fire) and ended (Come Back Home) with badass for sure.
I can’t wait for a red velvet comeback next year ...it will defiantly be a cultural reset
Me too!
Same I cannot wait
YES YOU ADDED DREAMCATCHER FINALLY SOMEONE WHO ADDED DREAMCATCHER
I expected dreamcatcher here and it didn't disappoint me. But tbh they're whole existence is already a cultural reset. Still a great content tho;)
Thank you so much for including Spica!! They were so iconic. Honestly, they were too ahead of their time, if they debuted today, they would rise to stardom so quickly.
The entire DreamCatcher discovery is a cultural reset, personally I would have added all DreamCatcher songs🤘
I was hoping Dreamcatcher's boca would be here too but other than all of this is a yes✨
I think Feel Special should be there for the impact it had during the US election
Wdym?
@@l3x13- Someone made an edit with the song and it trended on Twitter.
@@214MD I mean it only trended on the kpop community, but it didn't actually made an impact on elections.
@@NoOne-bp4oe It didn’t have any actual impact but it did trend for a while. My Twitter account is only anime-focused and it managed to appear on the trends with the term “Feel Special”.
@@214MD Yeah, Twitter works differently 😁
For me, THANK GOD GFRIEND's "MAGO" was included!! It's my pick me from a bad day song. Never fails to reset my mood! 🥰
This was so nostalgic, I miss old K-pop

Dreamcatcher
-Great debut
-Great concept
-Best Choreo
-Awesome somg
Keep on rocking InSomnia
i'd only add apink's dumdhurum to 2020 and eung eung to 2019 otherwise everything else i agree with
mamamoo, berrygood, laboum, loona, cherry bullet, gwsn, izone and wjsn oh my god the taste!
The underrated groups deserve all the love ❤️
I also kinda think Singing in the rain by jinsoul shook me af when i heard it, it was like my summer song
Red Velvet released “Red Flavor” and “Peek-a-boo” in the same year then a month after, released “Bad Boy” then “Power Up” and triology ending with the Iconic “Psycho”😳
Excellent compilation, hardly missed anything, I would’ve thrown in Apinks latest 2 title tracks, but hey, nobody’s perfect, but you still did a fantastic sampling .👍
I guess my reasoning for that was that, while the songs are amazing & super popular, they're kinda on the same concept line for I'm So Sick, plus I wanted to highlight how they've been great since forever hahaha Thank you & I'm glad you liked it! 😊
All Night by SNSD should've been included here, i think theyre ahead of their time doing a Disco Concept.
T-ara did in 2011
pls lol
@Antice calm down
Wait. You even included DREAMCATCHER!? Talk about taste.
SCREAM TO BOCA
Thank you!!
The way SNSD and 2NE1 owned this ofc the queens
In my opinion I feel like, loona, red velvet, dreamcather and gidle have been a real culture reset! ANYWAY STAN LOONA!
