I’ve been trying to figure out the name of that yellow spring right before the shifter for years nowMy key won’t turn unless I pull the spring back with my finger then I can turn the key for my jeep to start! Solution?

I have the same exact make and model and is this the area I’d use to change the key to a push starter . And if a complete beginner like knows nothing about cars. Is something like that manageable or any tips I should know that might b obvious to ppl who do know more than me lol

What is the name for that metal part. My father needs that exact part. He lost the pin.

So it looks like it's the shifter interlock cable that attaches to that metal cover now I'm not sure if that's a dealership part because I found nothing on the parts store websites, all they give me are the interlock shift cable and interlock actuator which is under that metal cover thst u are talking about.sooo, if you call the jeep dealership and base it off those parts they should be able to figure out that piece (hopefully)
