- Billions of dollars in new federal funding is coming to a major public transit project in San Francisco. When it's finished, both Caltrain and high-speed rail will one day be able to call the Bay Area their Northern California home.

Yes and yeah of course California High-Speed Rail in California.😮
Hell yeah
GET IT BUILT! For a region which is supposedly the world hub of innovative technology and progressive culture, we should have the BEST public transportation systems out there!
Serious question though: will this project include an underground pedestrian tunnel to Embarcadero BART (like that between Union Square MUNI and Powell BART) to make transfers easier during bad weather?
Homelessness, open air drugs and post-COVID city abandonment are excellent examples of the benefits of progressive culture.
@@jallen1227building critical transit connecting major cities isn’t progressive, it’s litterly the infrastructure that built every city in the US 🤡
I'll take some crackheads in the street over a government trying to abolish the separation of Church and State any day! @@jallen1227
Transbay terminal is useless. Never used it in over 3 decades... and never actually put my eyes on the structure. That's how useless it is.
Are you going to get BART and MUNI light rail to build a spur route to it for free? Why does Caltrain get all the fun for this useless project?
Level the building and build a park. Keep improving public transport.
I always want California High-Speed Rail in California and I always love California High-Speed Rail in California.😮
I think the Caltrain is a better location for the Amtrak or other train to go to.
Long Long Long overdue... Much like the California HSR project itself... A great idea that's been derailed and overdue by decades!
The Money Pit
Is this funding coming by printing more dollars? If so, should we be celebrating this?
25yrs of building wtf
Building of what?
This is long overdue and fantastic! It's about time our federal government seriously invests in public rail transit. We are so far behind the rest of the modern world. We have a lot of catching up to do, but the USA is more than capable of meeting and exceeding the challenge.
The fact that the story before this was dumpster fire is hilarious.
Or like lumber or like coolants and waters or something at this time.
Billions of dollars to a dying city. Wasted money going to contractors who will give money to the politicians who pushed this. How did palosi get rich? This is how politicians make money.
Want to see a dying city? Go to a red state
@@celestialroadthey removed my comment
San Francisco isn’t dying. Hate to burst your bubble.
So when something dies you don’t save it you let it die?
@FA-Q20-1 you just named like most of the US GDP
We need this project done but really please don’t overcommit funding to projects. It makes contracts inflate and contractors take advantage of this and charge more for their quotes. Make sure every single bit is accounted for but ngl 3.4 billion seems excessive
The building next-door is sinking.
@user-vf1pd8gj9gno it’s not
Downtown will always be a 9 to 5 until you prosecute crime whether people from the city or crossing from Oakland
The less high rises and skyscrapers and tall ship like insane asylums etc the better.
It's worth a try but don't be afraid to adjust or rebound or move the ball around like a team sport should. Southern politics don't like or believe in organizations or sports.
Too late
Hope that condo building doesn't fall over onto the terminal.
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Shouldn't they being buying billions in shrimp or something right now.
For a state that has a $4 trillion economy and a 14% tax rate it sure does need money from Alabama and Montana an awful lot. It can easily afford it with all the budget surpluses it’s been running. Oh wait
You do know that California gives more money to other states than it receives correct?
I love how the opening clip is literally A Garbage Fire in California. Why do they think they can get away with demanding federal funds when they owe so much money to the Soldiers Marines of Texas who protect them?
Why? Everything adjacent is collapsing and dying
What is the use!! Homeless people will put tent inside and become like a war zone
Fun fact: Not a single thing you ever bought at your local grocery store gets there by rail
What massive waste of resources. And a ripe project for massive grift.
What a continued waste of money
Meanwhile Caltrans cant even afford to replace unreadable 50 year old signs
A DECADE FROM NOW NO ONE IS GOING TO RIDE IT LOL. Auto pilot to LA ...
You're assuming it's actually going to be built. The money will evaporate in a matter of weeks.
More like 40 years and still not done yet for this project unless hire Asians Chinese immigrants China but then they on strike not help Amerikkka at all.
Perfect for homeless!
I’m glad you will have a place to live.
Look at the Lindbergh ☝️
😢 don’t melt ❄️
@@ES-hr6vg I have 3 homes, and I moved out of Bay Area 8 years ago. Looks like you'll have some homeless neighbors soon.
After seeing Portland Oregon and a few other places and experience the horrible tyranny of the train and people involved and the crimes and attacks on DC and the federal government and courts and military and big tech and banks is really be careful right now and I'd be trying to shutdown and cash out and sale off and move on and maybe migrate out.
Live in Portland here - oh, woe is me, I am oppressed by a train!
🤔
what a waste of money
The homeless will love it.
Here we go again, wasting money as usual, led by none other… Nancy
No don’t fund this with my tax money.
Alright, don't fund your suburban sprawl and highways with mine then!
@@chasemartin4450 they aren’t going to spend the money on transportation. The money is going into the Democrats cocaine and hookers budget.
Oh I can’t wait to see it on my Crapifornia 💩 tour 👍
The other great news is Nancy won’t be around to see it 👌👏💀👋
