I am so grateful I found this channel. I absolutely love bears and I can’t get enough of them. Not up close of course. I can walk out my door and walk about five minutes and watch plenty of black bears and just a few weeks ago my daughters and I got the privilege of watching a mother bear with her three cubs swimming in a quiet area of the slough which is very close to the Fraser river in deroche bc. Thank you so much for sharing

Each one of these bears look straight into the camera.. WOW!

I call it focused energy. It's like public speaking to a group, but if you point and stare at one than everything is focused on them. In the case of these bears, it was my role to keep the bears moving off away from occupied areas. So they begin to recognize our vehicles, our voices, our confidence, and if you have ever had to spank them with a bean bag, they don't want that. So they watch intently to see what I was doing and how much they could get away with.

@@geraldjessie7761 , I was working with them, usually I was 20-100m away depending if they were roadside versus if they were in a meadow. It was my role to get them moving if they were in an area people would flock to them and make bad decisions (the people not the bears)

@@TheBearGuyCanada it does frustrate me when people stop and crowd a bear for pictures. Then wonder why they lose fear of humans and are shot. I've at one time drove in to the K Country police station and asked them to respond and shoo away gawkers a couple of km down the road.

If ppl keep encroaching on them and eliminating their natural food sources and habitat there will be more and more of it though! Bears are driven by pure instinct nothing more! Humans on the other hand? Not so much! If you do something dumb and get yourself mauled then no i have zero sympathy for you! If you go to national parks and you do not follow the rules that's on you if you do get mauled!

Interesting that bears use human community "using as a shied from boars". I have lots of deer and the mountain lions make sweeps through my property occasionally. When the lions move in the deer congregate around my house and near pasture as their shield. I've seen them do that many times. But now lions are brave and come near house too.
