Having been out of school for decades and not being technologically inclined it amazes me how much we can do with computers and programs now. Watching the video did jog my memory, but I will be returning to follow step by step in the future. Thank you for a clear and concise tutorial.
I am also not very good with technology, and I struggle with Excel. I also tend to easily type in the wrong numbers or codes, which ruins all of my data. However, this is very helpful if you can practice using Excel regularly. I also saved this video so that I can watch it again and study it.
I agree that technology has come along way. This program simplifies everything and saves so much time and aggravation. I will also have to follow the step by step instructions, but after a few tries I should be able to remember it.
This video will definitely come in handy when I need to refresh my memory about how to transfer data from Excel to Word. After watching this, I learned some great tips as well as gained a better understanding, which will help me to succeed in the future.
I found this video helpful and detail oriented. It seems so much more simple when you explain things in detail. Seeing a code provides more information regarding how a process is completed. Thank you.
i found this video very helpful in that I will eventually most likely need to implement data from excel into a word document. Doing research and writing about it would require me to attach any data that i collect and wish to display. This video was an in depth demonstration on how to achieve this.
This was a great introduction to push data using excel for me. I am a visual learner, and being able to see what was being explained was very useful to my learning.
I appreciated the step-by-step guide of navigating through this transition of data to and from Microsoft Word. I am still too confused to attempt this on my own. However, I have saved this video so that I can come back to it and study the steps.
Angelina - I had excel/word open and attempted to go along with the video. It was helpful to be hands on for me to get a better idea of the processes. I'm not sure though if we will need to use this for our project but at least have an idea. I can understand how it would be helpful especially if survey data is changing frequently to ensure that your main document is continuously current.
Very informative video. I didn't even know this was possible. I do have a question, however. Why not just copy and paste the information into a Word document or "Open with...Microsoft Word"?
I'm definitely grateful for this video because this would be very confusing without the step by step walk through. It's good information to know, though, because it will help to make the information and data entered into excel passed easier into word where a research paper might be written. I'm also glad I took a computer science class in college because it made it a little easier to understand what was happening.
This video gave a lot of information. I'm not to familiar with Excel but I was able to add the developer to the home tab. I'm going to have to go over this video a few times
This video will be helpful to reference when I need to push data from Excel to Word. I also found it interesting how an adjustment to the code will allow info to be pulled from Word. I look forward to using this macro. Thank you.
It's seems as though you have a good understanding of this type of code and application. I think it's important to know to make it easier to transfer data into a new setting, and I feel better knowing that someone in my class might be able to help me do this with Dr. Grande is unavailable. (also with help from this video)
Hi there, thank you for this great effort. I have a problem with Excel , wvry time I create a micro enabled Excel sheet it ends up cracking and shows the message"Excel has stopped working". Even though the code is not that complicated. Just simple navigation code with a couple of equations. Hope you have an answer. Thanks again.
Thank you - this is great! I have used this successfully to pull info to a word form. The only problem is that Word is not closing completely. I have to open the document twice after I update it to see the new information appear in the document. Any chance there is a line of code that can do a better job of closing it all up?
Thank you for the video... (Very helpful however posting the code would be great. ) QUESTION: How would you do it via LATE Binding? Early Binding can have many problems if the code will be used by users that may not have the Word Ref / Obj library set.
Good morning sir, thank you for the demonstration that help me a lot to to copy data from access to word that work correctly, however when I inserted the rich text ms word content controls in header section of word document the code doesn't work (the content control remained empty). Is there a solution for this case?
Can you push date from an entire row instead of a column? I'm trying to populate word documents with names, address, etc from an excel spreadsheet ? Thank you!
hi, Dr.grande I want to develop an action plan title plagiarism checker. the previous title stored on excel and when I paste on search box it must show me percent of edite and copy. Also, it must show me the best Action plan achievement or 100℅ free of plagiarism
This is excellent Todd! I appreciate the video demonstration of this; it was tremendously helpful for solving a problem with automating some really boring stuff! ;D
Thank you very much for the information, can you help me further at all? I get an error 'compile error: user-defined type not defined' It then highlights the first line 'Dim word app As Word.Apllication'

All good. Fixed. Sorry for jumping the gun.My field containing the word document name had the (.docx) extension. Insert hand slapping on forehead here.Brad
you need to insert a module then insert a form command button if you want to click something to run the command otherwise you can skip the form command button just add a module copy the codes and run your macro.

This was a great example, to be able to see visuals during the explanation was extremely helpful.

I couldn't use Mail Merge for my project because there is relational data for each contract (Word document). This, SIR, is amazing. Thank you.

I also took a computer science course in C++ many years ago. I just wonder why the codes are not easier to write now-a-days.
Wonderful video!!!!!

Thank you.

Rahul Bhedsurkar did you ever get around this issue? I’m having the same problem
I'm getting a subscript out of range error when I try to replicate this, any ideas what I may have missed?
On your Excel file, rename your tab name with "Data".
you need to insert a module then insert a form command button if you want to click something to run the command otherwise you can skip the form command button just add a module copy the codes and run your macro.
