Marti/Julian AU Hellcats - Need You Now

- Storyline:
They first meet when Julian is her Law professor at Lancer University. It is like love at first sight for them but due to the rules they decide to wait until he is no longer teaching her. They soon become a couple and start falling in love with each other. However the relationship soon begins to go downhill as Julian becomes busier and starts letting her down and she starts accusing him of lying. One night they have a huge argument and she leaves telling him not to be there when she gets back and so he leaves as she asks.
Alone, both regret their decision but believe that it is for the best that they have some time apart. She calls him and tells him that she needs him. He meets her one night and he tells her not to pretend that everything is ok and she tells him that it was a mistake to leave him. He thinks it is for the best and leaves her. However it doesn't stop either of them missing each other. Constantly thinking about him Marti can't help but try and sort things out. Although they are over she would have liked them to have remained as friends. She calls him and tells him that they have been through so much together and that they can get through this but he hangs up on her. He remembers that all he wanted was to make her happy but it wasn't enough. He soon starts heavily drinking because he just wishes she was there and can't stop thinking about her and how much he loves her. Drunk one night he calls her up and tells her that he is coming to get her because he needs her. Knowing that he had been drinking she tells him not to. However when it comes to it, he sees her walking and can't bring himself to go to her.
Things start getting better for him and another night he bumps into her on the street and they start talking as if nothing happened between them. Soon after, Julian starts getting sick and he finds out that he has cancer. He begins to have radiation for it and decides it is time to see Marti and sort things out in case anything happened to him. He tells her that he shouldn't have said what he did and she asks him why he said them. He tells her that he has cancer and she is heartbroken. She offers him comfort and he tells her that he is having radiation but that he is leaving to go home and have treatment.
Alone once more, Dan comes over to see her and she tells him that Julian finally told her what was going on and she breaks down in his arms as she tries to come to terms with the fact that she might never see him again. He calls her once more to say goodbye and that night he gets into a taxi. Will Marti ever see him again or will Julian change his mind?

However, thinking about Marti, he decides he can't just leave and demands the taxi to turn back.
When he arrives back, he gets out of the taxi and collapses. The hospital calls Marti and she rushes to the hospital. She asks him why he didn't go and he tells her that he couldn't because he loves her.
When he out of the hospital she goes to see him and tells him that she can't lose him and he tells her that he has missed her. Needing a little more time she leaves but that night she goes back. He opens the door and she kisses him. They decide to put everything behind them and start again. Julian still has cancer but Marti knows that every moment they have together is precious, no matter how long they have together.
