Im loving everything about this season the seasonal armor ornaments are the best looking armor they have ever made plus the dungeon is the coolest looking one they have come out with
I hadn't played SotL so had missed this dungeon, and with hindsight, I can say I actually feel sorry for him and Caitl in Lightfall. The moment I heard the first part of his backstory, I finally understood the line by Caitl of that, that Calus isn't the same person from before, and it's true, everything Calus had done before was for Caitl, joining the witness despite seeing his daughter fight them, shows that he's basically gone. Gotta love little details like that
I think the statue room might have something else hidden there and possibly throughout the dungeon. There's a plate to dunk a symbol on a platform in there. Seemed strange to me when we found out it was just move statues.
So are we unknowingly helping calus get rid of his past memories to “shed his skin” into a disciple of the witness? Like how we helped savithun get closer to the light by bringing back her memories?
For further clarification, the Deep does not forget; the Sky does. Even Rhulk has constant reminders of his past. It’s not because they are haunted by it, but it is a representation of how far they come.
So I got the sword for this dungeon after my second attempt, it also happened to be my birthday. I did the collectible triumph and clicked it right before the boss fight.
On the second and third encounter. The boss and adds was stack on the dunk spots to protect it. It happens all the time. I got get chalice and go to slam and that immune boss shooting at me and standing on the spot.
the Caiatl encounter's loot pool is SUPER bloated, if you're grinding for the Linear or SMG specifically you want to be farming Vault. Unfortunately, the Menagerie machine gun and the pulse rifle only drop from Caiatl, so those will be the hardest of the legendary weapons to get rolls of due to the size of the drop table.
It helps that the Caiatl encounter drops 2 items per run and might take less time than vault depending on how your team clears it, but if you're target farming it's worse generally
Hi evan, I'm pretty sure the sword was a family heirloom that Caiatl's mother held and once she passed away, it was meant to be gifted to her. Calus just wants to fulfill the responsibility if wife left him.
I sincerely hope that they bring back the Leviathan and the menagerie (even though I never played it) at some point, with Leviathan being the first ever raid that I've done, it and calus hold a special place in my heart
I think its such a shame they put the häkke armor in the dungeon and did not just drop it into the world pool. Cause while i love how it looks it just doesn't fit the dungeon :(
I like armor a lot aside from the warlock version. On the hunter and titan it looks like spartan armor from halo 4 or he’ll even the mass effect armor. Very reminiscent of the armor we got in taken king which I’m all for
The fact they just slapped back the menagerie stuff when we could’ve just kept it still makes me fume, if we want new rolls, we’ll go get them but I want my old stuff
I will personally say, I absolutely love the guns and gear from this dungeon. Some thing about it and the concept of invading somebody’s mind who by the way was corrupted, it’s just fascinating to me
It's also cool because the loyalist cabal, Calus's ideal soldiers, exist only in the waking world, while the Red Legion cabal exist only in the Nightmare dreamscape. It's as if the soldiers stoll in the Red Legion are still one of Calus's greatest regrets.
I'm desperately hoping that they don't make Calus the end-of-season boss. If the evidence turns out to be true that he is a disciple of the Witness, then he deserves a place in Lightfall.
They won't. He's the subject of a dungeon, that dungeon needs to last in canon-ish land at least into lightfall, defeating him at the end of the season would ruin that
>Bell randomly going off Linears do always overpenetrate targets and I see Separer guy using linear exactly in the direction of the upper bell. Even if he hit Gahlran, he also might've hit the bell. Personally one thing I still do not get whether it's a bug or a feature is that Duality emblems are in "Raids" section of flairs collection (though it's a bug?) And first time a dungion has it's specific seal (as a raid! so maybe it's a feature now?)

@@DarthDookieMan yeah but aren’t we going in and killing/destroying his “nightmares”
Legit hate the cabal incendior and gladiator/gahlran nightmares. They shouldn’t be able to push you back.
“Zavala’s caBALLS”, I am satisfied and dissatisfied at the same time
Why was that grass joke, and its accompanying visuals, so darn funny?!?!
Done the dungeon a few times now and I just NOW realized Ghalran is running around in a diaper. -.-
So I got the sword for this dungeon after my second attempt, it also happened to be my birthday. I did the collectible triumph and clicked it right before the boss fight.
The skull armor was definitely the dungeon armor I think they changed it at thelast minute
ight, while we can all say d2 year one was... an expierience, cant agree that Ghual and the red war were both badass and amazing
To be honest this dungeon has got to be one of the better ones (lorewise)
The only nightmare I fear is Telesto
and Rahool I suppose, but he got better after therapy
I like how the floating away glitch has been seen randomly since season of splicer or maybe before that even
Floating bodies glitch has been in destiny since vanilla D1
@@dwh9941 yeah but players floating away like that while alive
This Dungeon gives me nightmare’s.
Hm...I don't know. I think Caiatl might be calling Saladin "Iron Daddy" behind closed doors.
Calus also says I need to achieve my “final shape” which I believe is the current title of the final expansion of the light and dark saga
But Eris talked too much at the beginning before dropping down
This dungeon stands out to me because even though I own witch queen and the 30th anniversary I do not have access to the duality dungeon
Idk what it is about Calus’s face in the thumbnail but it makes me laugh
I think its such a shame they put the häkke armor in the dungeon and did not just drop it into the world pool. Cause while i love how it looks it just doesn't fit the dungeon :(
A bed time story From Calus would be like...
*in my Calus Voice*
A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away...
*que Star Wars Intro Music* 😂😂
Now if I could only find someone to run the any of the damn dungeons
Downtime reminded me of three words... Deep stone lullaby.
I got the Exotic sword on my first run, that said, swords do really good against the final boss especially with the vortex frame
The armor sort of makes sense. Remember that prophecy had the daito armor set
I like armor a lot aside from the warlock version. On the hunter and titan it looks like spartan armor from halo 4 or he’ll even the mass effect armor. Very reminiscent of the armor we got in taken king which I’m all for
Only reason it stands out, I actually got a good role for a gun
Duality was such a bugged and glitched dungeon on day 1.
I'm finally early to a vid
I love the stories evan keep up the good work
8:00 Evan! You're nuts for this 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The bell keepers wouldn't the problem for me. Mostly because my wave frame clapped their cheeks. But my problem was the snipers
Also I disagree that this dungeon is easy. My first time beating it left me with a headache angry and tired. I legit went to sleep after it.
I thought I was mishearing in that clip where that guy got the Stormchaser until you *also* said "luh-near"
During the vault encounter there’s actually the symbols on the back of those mini walls in the regular world lol.
This new video really generates power!
bungie really saw that one mission in titanfall 2 and be like. we take those
I'm desperately hoping that they don't make Calus the end-of-season boss. If the evidence turns out to be true that he is a disciple of the Witness, then he deserves a place in Lightfall.
They won't. He's the subject of a dungeon, that dungeon needs to last in canon-ish land at least into lightfall, defeating him at the end of the season would ruin that
I say I speak for all guardians we are ready for the witness he will hit us hard but he does not understand he is facing a storm of power and of Will
And of MOTIVATION. My Quickfang katana yamato is at the ready.
>Bell randomly going off
Linears do always overpenetrate targets and I see Separer guy using linear exactly in the direction of the upper bell. Even if he hit Gahlran, he also might've hit the bell.
Personally one thing I still do not get whether it's a bug or a feature is that Duality emblems are in "Raids" section of flairs collection (though it's a bug?)
And first time a dungion has it's specific seal (as a raid! so maybe it's a feature now?)
The only enemy coming from my monitor is the atrociuos, absolutely downright horrible looking guardians i see on the daily.
