The 66 vent windows are altogether different self contained assembly . You will have to disassemble and cut up the frames to make them fit the door, figure out the pivot geometry then make the glass frame fit. It's a lot of trial and error which is why chopped bugs usually have 1 piece windows. I have some from a 74 you are welcome to if they are interchangeable
Denny thx for the response. I want to use the 66 and I have extras. And this had been cut for one piece and they suck. Is the part that holds the glass mild steel or stainless? And you actually cut down and reweld or heat and reshape? Again great job. The chop was money. Btw, awesome video of the wildlife. Reminds me of my brother's place on the western slope of Co.
@flatrat48 I cut mine, flipped the top half and made relief cuts on the inside of the tight radius to close it up then welded everything up with standard mig The channel sides will kink without the relief cuts. Gotta get all the chrome and copper plating off before welding
Great work, enjoy
Love that you kept the vent windows.
Thanks! It's a lot of work but avoids that long window look and gets some airflow.
I enjoy your videos!!!
@@dennyeck9318 thank you as well!
I’m really loving the transformation. Hope you post up more videos soon 🤙
Fast work. Been 2 years on mine so far! You're doing a brilliant job 👍
Nice work. There's a ton of welding there!
Nice job! everything you did was done phenomenal!
looks nice, good job on all the work.
Quick work. I was thinking all that welding and grinding alone would take me 3 months worth of weekends.
