(The portal in the Signal Tower related to the scavenger hunt for the Wolf School Witcher gear). The "I hate portals" bitching comes back in the Blood and Wine DLC in two side quests.
What's even funnier is that its not even Geralt's particular shtick. In one of the books describing witchers it is mentioned that for some reasons ALL of the witchers despise portals and hate them for reasons unknown.
Well someone aswell said walking through a portal is described as having no senses. You can't see, it's cold, no smell, no touch, nothing. May just for a single second, but for a Witcher it could be much worse.
I swear during my playtrough i had gerald say “i could use a portal”, i would love to clip it but i can’t remember what triggered it 😫 if i remember correctly it was whilst mounting roach, and it was endgame

i love how Geralt would rather take DAYS on horseback or tens of enemies rather than taking a simple portal.

In Witcher 3, horses are way more useful and nessisary. but in skyrim the horses can climb up ungodly angles wich is Roach's weakness!
