Do not do the campfire trick if not necessary. You can get more if you smelt the logs. Campfire will give maximum of 2 charcoals. So if we break 12 campfires, we will get 24 charcoals. If we instead, smelt the logs used in those 12 campfires(36 logs) we will get 36 charcoals and -5 charcoals if we use them as fuels but we still have 31 charcoals. Not to mention the sticks which can be used as fuels to discount the charcoals.

You might say that to make a barrel we need wood. Well, you can get saplings by getting a lucky wondering trader, so wood problem solved. To cure a zombie villager we need a golden apple and a weaknesses potion. We can easily get apples from trees. You don't have to make a weakness potion because you can trick a witch to throw one.
Funny enough, a village spawned next to a mangrove biome, and it caused the villagers to get that special look that you can’t usually get. I was speechless
