Neighbors put out peanuts for them, and they come to my newly seeded lawn to bury them. Feeding squirrels is not necessary in the summer.

I tried vinegar, chili pepper, red pepper, and black pepper, and nothing worked. I have a sound device and a cat this does not work either.

Try mixing baking soda and peanut butter and stuffing them in peanut shells. It keeps them quiet for a few days.
