Hope you pay your little helper well 🙂
He was doing a great demonstration of the grapple

Looks like I'm not the only one who has or is going to get a rock bucket because they've found an old trash dump or burn area made by the previous owners on their property.

Just be really careful, if your trash dump is like mine its full of shit that will shred your tires buried under decades of glass and dirt.

I'm releasing a video on the Artillian Rock Bucket tomorrow. We used it on our BX to clean up a newly excavated lawn and what we accomplished was amazing. Great product!

Be nice if you could make the sides of the bucket removable

My favorite part was seeing the boy showing how easy it is to use something like this. It's good to see it's that simple.

would have been cool if you could have had your head lined up with the grapple and have it look like he was pinching your head LOL.😁

That was the idea. This was as close as we got.

I've noticed you've never mentioned litter buckets (as best I can remember, at any rate). That's the bucket that stays on mine 90% of the time. I can carry firewood up to the house, toss rocks and branches in it, and it'll carry a large volume. A set of forks is my second most used FEL attachment. Also, I just got my Del Marino Flipper 168 in from y'all a couple days ago. That thing is AWESOME. I did have issues connecting it to a L4701 with the telescoping stabilizers, and had to switch out my Speeco QH for the Landpride QH15 to get it mounted, but operationally, jeez Louise does that thing cut nice.

good morning Neal. Can you space the grapple sections out so they cover more of the width of the bucket. I agree the sides of the bucket could be cut out to make it easier to grab large items

No, they bolt though the bucket and have to stay away from the quick attach.

On the root take style not being able to hold multiples, maybe it's not as easy as the shelf style, but we've got a Precision 327 big mouth, and I've found that I can pick up several small logs, like up to 8-10 if they're, say 6" diameter or less, by "dumping" around them, then gripping as I tilt back, so the gripper ends are basically dragging the ground the whole time.

Fun comment for ya. 6:13 - 6:38 If you pause the video and move the time 5 seconds at a time you can see how much the loader drifts. Is that typical of what it drifts or because of how much weight you have in the grapple at that point.
I've considered looking for a rock/skeleton bucket for this very reason. I use pallet forks for moving brush, which works great on larger stuff, however if I have dead stuff that is falling apart more, I use the dirt bucket and have to try to avoid getting dirt with it to throw on the burnpile.

The bounce is intentional, I have a hydraulic accumulator to smooth the ride.

Interesting - what would a 7' rock bucket for my L6060 would cost? Don't need the grapple function.

Would a 6’ do ya? Virnig’s lighter weight series stops at 72.

Hey Neil how would that work for getting split firewood off the ground? sorry if you covered this in the video, I am not at the end yet.

    • @MessicksEquip

the bucket part should work well, the grapple would help hold it. The caution would be I'd want a larger capacity bucket than what rock buckets tend to be.

We really like our Precision adjustable Add a Grapple for our forks. Unless Artillian has changed their approach, you have to be in their product line for compatibility. Precision will work with almost any brand for their Add a Grapple systems for forks and buckets.
