  • Paula Meehan returns to her roots with this poem, painting a picture of her father in his small working-class tenement garden in Dublin, feeding the birds.
A poet and playwright, Meehan has written eight poetry collections, and has had her plays produced on the radio, and in theaters and prisons. In 2015, she was inducted into the Hennessy Hall of Fame for her achievements in poetry.
Sarah Luckadoo reads an introduction to offer context and background on the poet and the poem. For more information about HoCoPoLitSo's live or recorded programming, visit www.hocopolitso.org.
