This is perfect proof at what great talented and genuine people TSO really are; the way they all support her when she stops, the way Al goes straight to her as if he knows she is struggling with her emotions, and the way the band slow down but without faltering in a way that is so professional you could hardly tell it wasn't deliberate: I don't think i have ever seen a band or singers that truly feel their own songs so much & support their own family of people with such style and grace.
I was there too... This actually made ME tear up... AMAZING performance, AMAZING talent, AMAZING woman!!! What concerned me the most is that she wasn't oat the meet, greet & autograph table after the show...

That's what I call musicianship. When someone in the band is struggling with his/her emotions, someone needs to help to pull together and continue the performance.
A lot of TSO's music brings tears to my eyes with it's expressiveness and beauty. What astounds me is that more of their vocalists don't get that emotional.I guess it's a good thing, they'd never get through a show!

Al Pitrelli continued playing one handed, while his pick hand was holding Chloe's hand, telling her repeatedly "You're Okay!" Also watch as he hugs her he STILL plays the last chord change one handed hugging Chloe! She stated the song was always SO EMOTIONAL but a personal/family situation had recently occurred and that this song ALWAYS did this, although never like this, but this day she said she was UNABLE to continue until Guitarist/Musical Director Al Pitrelli gave her such INCREDIBLE SUPPORT!
I saw them on this tour in Columbia, SC on 3/14/2012, so 11 months after this. Chloe started crying during this song but never missed a note. Al was there in the background behind her and as she turned from the microphone, just before the dancing started, he gave a motion to her asking if she was ok. I watched this from the 5th row and saw it clearly. I very was moved by the whole incident. I never knew the back story until seeing this video. Thanks for that. There are at least two very good videos on here of that show/song. Just search by the date.
@@wilhelmsbane6160 I'm not 100% but I think it was a close family member had recently passed away after a long illness so the words, and meaning, behind this song being about having more time with someone always struck her as sad. I wish I could find the site that she was interviewed on but somehow it got to this song now having a personal meaning to her. She talked about being a very emotional person who is "seen crying from time to time" but this was the toughest song for her to sing. I want to say she was asked about the very complex show to put in and none of the songs were not overly difficult technique-wise but that this song was the most difficult for her to get through - then she talked about a difficult time frame for her and this night was when it culminated for her during this song. I've seen them 5 times and the most recent I was 11th row center. They had an arm on the left and on the right and they formed a catwalk and it was 2 rows in front - not too close to not see them but close enough that they were standing there jamming guitars 20 feet above, and 5 feet in front of us! The mindblowing thing is I'm around 50 and half the crowd is younger then me and half of them are my age or older!

This is what music is about! Chloe never said what memory hit her, but the recovery on stage by her mates was phenomenal. This is the epitome of teamwork! Most moving video I have seen live The spirit of the Lord was on stage, and a vessel of the guitarist, a wonderful person as entertainer. He pulled Chloe back together, gave her strength and love, and what an amazing , truly emotional and tearful sight to see. i used to get that way singing some of my church songs for ministry. my mom would listen and say ''the more you keep practicing you'll conquer the emotional effects.'' i would always come out victorious and not cry when it came to singing my songs in front of the congregation

I happened to ask Chloe about this when they were in town Dec 1 (Glendale AZ) - She just shrugged it off as if it was just a bit emotional for her at the time. Also, read a interview, somebody had with her - Again, the emotionality of the song hit her at a time when her own personal life had some edges, etc., (Remember, she's only 25 - and youth has lots of heartaches). Al really stepped to the plate and gave what she needed. I love this group and learning more about Savatage every day.
TSO as indivuduals are relatively unknown artists (no big names) but as a band they are a tight and an amazing consumate group of performers. I have not seen them since 2006 but have seen their evolution through recordings and videos, I hope to have the chance to see them in 2013, Merry Christmas to all TSO Fans!
This is now my favourite version of this song. It's so amazing they way the band kept on playing and she finished the song with such fervour and feeling. It's an emotional and powerful song, and I get slightly teary eyed just listening to it, so I can't even imagine what the emotions must've been when the song was written. I wouldn't have felt anything this intense if she didn't pour so much emotion into the song. Absolutely stupendous. Gorgeous. Brilliant.

If you look around you can find videos taken from the first or second row where you can watch her face. You can see that she that she's always fighting to keep her composure whenever she sings it. This is an emotionally powerful song, and it genuinely touches her every time.
Wow now I'm setting my car with tears trickling down my cheeks ,this was so touching seeing someone of her status and professionalism show emotion, I love seeing larger than life show us they do have a heart and feelings it's so beautiful and the way that Al stops playing and embraces her reminds me of why I love TSO so much!
Bought this album in 2000 and can't get through it without crying a bit (well a lot) either. I was to be a Junior in uni after this summer and the one thing I always remember is that it was the first metal album I ever bought that my parents wanted to listen to with me.
I love that they played this song up a half step on the 2011 and 2012 BLN tours. So much more passion in it I think in this key. This has to be my favorite video of this song out of all 3 years they did BLN

One of the most poignant videos I have seen in my life. I used this video as an example to an up and coming band that does covers for the Ramones, on how to be professional on stage these teenage artists listened to me and were polite and soaked in the advice. they were completely awed that i knew Marky Ramone personally and as a bonus to this hard working band I gave my my advice on stage etiquette , team work and lovely recovery. The audience will never forget this moment andf it gives TSO my undying and everlasting love and respect, Their guitarist rocked the walls off and his love and dedication for his band mates , Chloe in this instance. was outstanding I wish there were a medal of honor for musicians as he deserved it ten fold! I contacted Marky this morning and made him aware of this up and coming teenage band, and I know there were smiles galore! And what did I gain, I gained the wisdom and gave the wisdom by this action on doing the right thing for the right people in the right c circumstance, and i know this band will be a success in the future generations. Somebody will undoubtedly comment what the hell does this have to do with anything, Well I used this exact video to hammer a point across of the extreme professionalism and love TSO gives all artists and I am so proud that the young artists listened to me and took it in very well. I chose at that time to contact Mark Ramone and tell him about this band and how impressed i was with the,m, as they saw the example of TSO and their etiquette. by the way I do my radio interview with this band on this coming Friday, and then I will tell these great kids, this, I was so taken by you actually listening to an old pro, that I decided to not only tell my friend Marky about you , but I told him that you guys rock and will do the music industry proud in the future. Krista Hamczyk It has been a wish and dream of mine to see them during the holidays, what better time to see them. Recently I moved back to my hometown with the help of some lifelong friends. One of whom is the reasons for my salvation by returning home. This amazing friend is now my sister, and we both have made this a bucket list concert. A promise made to never see them unless the other is able to be there. A bittersweet promise and dream that may never come true. I think of all this when I see and hear this performance. Maybe I’ve shared too much to a stranger, but I couldn’t agree with you more, and just felt like sharing.

I agree. Just because this is a business, and that they're there to draw a crowd and to make money, it's still good to help those within the band when they get emotional. To offer encouragement, and to help them compose themselves so they can continue.

I have to laugh at the comments. The ones especially saying, "she's left the band" are comical. She has been with them every year since then. She hasn't left. Her own career with Chameleon was separate and during the TSO "off season".
For reasons unknown, eh? Well it seems perfectly obvious to me that it's the song itself. For anybody with the slightest bit of self reflection or self-awareness, the song's lyrics are designed to jerk the melancholy tears out of you: "I've had the right motivation but I don't know if the universe even cares about that." "For the chances I've had are now long gone" has got to be one of world culture's most straightforward ways of confronting mortality. We've only got this long to make a difference and once we've blown it there's no going back. When it's done that star is no longer wished upon. "I have tried to pretend that I don't care, but in every dream I find you there." However hard we try to ignore the important events and people in our lives, they make their presence felt in our thoughts regardless. Dick Cheney is not ever going to get his sentence commuted over that guy whose face he blew off. The awful thing I said to the love of my life that one time? I'm not going to get to undo that. There's that one moment when you realize what you regret, what you can't reclaim and you're not ever going to be able to forget.
Did no one hear what the narrator who said .."Now for the Last Time".. She's left the band → pursuing her own career.! simple. emotions happen.. into the sunset she goes.!

This is exactly what music should be. The singer gets so into it, their emotions show. Absolutely amazing. I’m so sad I don’t get to see them this year
Krista Hamczyk It has been a wish and dream of mine to see them during the holidays, what better time to see them. Recently I moved back to my hometown with the help of some lifelong friends. One of whom is the reasons for my salvation by returning home. This amazing friend is now my sister, and we both have made this a bucket list concert. A promise made to never see them unless the other is able to be there. A bittersweet promise and dream that may never come true. I think of all this when I see and hear this performance. Maybe I’ve shared too much to a stranger, but I couldn’t agree with you more, and just felt like sharing.
Love this band, love Chloe Lowery, love music.

@jimmywacked That "for the last time" line is part of the story, so they say that every night. Besides that, this was on April 2nd and she finished out the tour, so it couldn't have been her last night.

I agree. Just because this is a business, and that they're there to draw a crowd and to make money, it's still good to help those within the band when they get emotional. To offer encouragement, and to help them compose themselves so they can continue.
Every TSO concert I have been to.has ties to some emotionally difficult time in my life.and while it always brought a touch of healing.

I have to laugh at the comments. The ones especially saying, "she's left the band" are comical. She has been with them every year since then. She hasn't left. Her own career with Chameleon was separate and during the TSO "off season".

For reasons unknown, eh? Well it seems perfectly obvious to me that it's the song itself. For anybody with the slightest bit of self reflection or self-awareness, the song's lyrics are designed to jerk the melancholy tears out of you: "I've had the right motivation but I don't know if the universe even cares about that." "For the chances I've had are now long gone" has got to be one of world culture's most straightforward ways of confronting mortality. We've only got this long to make a difference and once we've blown it there's no going back. When it's done that star is no longer wished upon. "I have tried to pretend that I don't care, but in every dream I find you there." However hard we try to ignore the important events and people in our lives, they make their presence felt in our thoughts regardless. Dick Cheney is not ever going to get his sentence commuted over that guy whose face he blew off. The awful thing I said to the love of my life that one time? I'm not going to get to undo that. There's that one moment when you realize what you regret, what you can't reclaim and you're not ever going to be able to forget.

Did no one hear what the narrator who said .."Now for the Last Time".. She's left the band → pursuing her own career.! simple. emotions happen.. into the sunset she goes.!
No, she didn't leave the band. In fact she's still their star. "The last time" refers to the fact that it was the last show of the tour.
@@paxmedic It's from the narration. Theresa (the character Chloe is portraying) sees Beethoven walking down the street with the final line being "As she watched him for the very last time." The lyrics of the song are her thoughts, which Fate lets Beethoven hear.
