Have try the test without recording a video? Recording a video cost power to compute and compress the data. I think DJI calculate the flight time without recording videos.
It does you are right, but who is gonna fly their drone without recording? yes i was pushing the limits to see what it would achieve. 👍

@@PasDino to be honest they are about the same. But the RC 1 is a little slow in performance as opposed to the RC 2. It’s personal preference to the RC and the RC N1 👍

I've got 26 minutes so far in normal mode which I'm quite impressed with I mean we never get the advertised times but definitely would love the pro batteries it's just down to the operator to be sensible you got the air 2s so why can't we have the pro batteries the air 2s is a lot heavier. Good comparison nobby by the way I took of at 99% 😁👍

When you start the timer the battery is at 93%, as battery life is the focus of the test wouldn't it have been a good idea to start at 99-100%
believe it or not, by the time i got the sats lock and the wifi enabled it had gone down from 98 to 93. but yes you are right
I canny even remember what I got on my tests, but I know it was nowhere near what DJI said I would get (as expected, of course). It does fly for a few minutes longer than the mini 2, but that's about it. Some people have told me that the battery will improve once I've had it thru half a dozen or so cycles, but we'll see :)
That could be so Robert. I’m not convinced 😁 I purposely did this test as the manual said although it wasn’t windless conditions but 4 mph wasn’t that far off. And anyone can fly it in a tunnel with no wind. Not much point of that eh? 😀

Hi Nobby, so not very impressive, I can get about 20 minutes out of a mini2 battery flying a mapping mission at 285 feet with a max speed of 17MPH, taking 159 JPG & RAW photos and flying about 3 miles.

No Nobby very poor no videos just photos lucky to get 20 mins still a fantastic drone though I will hopefully get the larger Battery in the near future I know it’s going to take it over 249 but where I fly nobody will be interested. (They look and see a man looking in the sky and think he’s a plonker)

I said I would update on the signal situation with the Mini 3 pro DJI want me to send the Flight Controller Aircraft Data etc I haven’t done it so far I have only been flying the drone straight above me and taking 48 megapixel photos so I will see how we go.
There’s a guy on RUclips who’s had a nightmare time trying to return his Mini 3 pro he’s done a video about it slagging DJI but for me I have never had any problems with them especially with the refresh program which I have taken out for the Mini 3 pro I opted for the 2 year plan. I have the extra 2 batteries coming tomorrow with the bag and charger plus props wife’s not too happy haha.Your a Nottingham lad eh a my Dads side are Mansfield Woodhouse and some are in Derbyshire from Alfreton . Keep the good work up Nobby your videos or straight to the point and you speak my kind of language no big words no bullshit.
The only thing I can see wrong in your test was you had between 4-8mph winds. The screenshot you showed was 34min @21.6km/h in WINDLESS conditions. The only way you can achieve this is if you were flying in a sealed building without A/C. Just my opinion and thoughts
Well yes. And that’s how DJI probably test them. But we don’t fly in sealed buildings 😁 and 4 mph winds isn’t going to knock 10 minutes off your flying time 🤷♂️ we all probably know it’s more like 18 mins real world test which is not brilliant 👍
@@nobby-green I am surprised, but I'm not surprised. I wonder if you were to switch off the obstacle avoidance system if you could increase the flight time. My best flight with my mini 1 was 25min so you should be able to beat that surely.

From the first DJI drone to this one none of the batteries have given the advertised flight time . They test indoors in a hover. But the 47min batteries are very impressive.

I live in the uk and I use the extended batteries and I’ve flown for 34 minutes with %20 remaining .
Is that with the extended battery?
@@nobby-green yes it is it was 34 minutes on the batteries first charge . I purchased it from eBay . Someone has them in the uk so postage took two days .

I have expected it to go 30, they should have stated 28 instead of 34.
Landing with no juice after 24 minutes does not look good at all. Run another test without recording to see how close to 28 it goes. The other battery flies it for 47, unfortunately I do not trust that.
I might just do that. ill also try a hover test :)
