Thanks for this video! I only fish from shore as I don’t own a boat. I got to Tampa Bay a year ago and have taken my 10 year old son fishing almost everyday, he loves it and is quite the fisherman! Has a 34.5” Snook, 32” Red Drum, 22” Tripletail, and 51” Sandbar Shark to his name plus many others. Your videos have really helped us learn a lot as we had only done freshwater fishing before this past year. Thank you so much for the advice and helping us get better and be more successful Salt Strong! Now we just need to get the elusive inshore slam.

Thanks so much for making time to post the nice comment Lex. How cool that your 10 year old son is already landing such nice fish! Keep up the great work. I'm sure the slam feat will happen soon.

Have the saltist mq 3k on the ss custom. Love it..
Also own a bq mq 4k and i am probably going to get more of those.

Both of those are sick reels! The BG MQ is something serious!

I'm used to waders with the bigger boots (Korkers). What type of footwear is best? Also, how do you deal with the colder water Temps without waders?

My mission is to better the land fishing in the Tampa Bay Area! If you have been here for the past two decades, you know how much has been stripped away from land fishermen.

@@1126robert it’s basically a completely different reel, just branded with the BG name. More line capacity, lighter, more seals, more drag, main gear is thicker, along with the basic technology upgrades that trickle down from more expensive models in the past.
