Thanks for this video! I only fish from shore as I don’t own a boat. I got to Tampa Bay a year ago and have taken my 10 year old son fishing almost everyday, he loves it and is quite the fisherman! Has a 34.5” Snook, 32” Red Drum, 22” Tripletail, and 51” Sandbar Shark to his name plus many others. Your videos have really helped us learn a lot as we had only done freshwater fishing before this past year. Thank you so much for the advice and helping us get better and be more successful Salt Strong! Now we just need to get the elusive inshore slam.
Thanks so much for making time to post the nice comment Lex. How cool that your 10 year old son is already landing such nice fish! Keep up the great work. I'm sure the slam feat will happen soon.
I'm used to waders with the bigger boots (Korkers). What type of footwear is best? Also, how do you deal with the colder water Temps without waders? Thanks for a great video!
My mission is to better the land fishing in the Tampa Bay Area! If you have been here for the past two decades, you know how much has been stripped away from land fishermen.
@@1126robert it’s basically a completely different reel, just branded with the BG name. More line capacity, lighter, more seals, more drag, main gear is thicker, along with the basic technology upgrades that trickle down from more expensive models in the past.

I really like your fishing from shore videos. I don’t have a boat and it helps a lot.
Yes, I have a kayak only and same tips can be helpful. But also for bringing friends bank fishing
Thanks Mike! We'll be sure to do more wade fishing videos.
@@Saltstrong looking forward for to them! 👊🏼🎣
Wader Dave is the man!

Dave! So excited to have won the trip with you at the picnic. Really looking forward to it.
I have Wader Dave's exact rod/reel setup. Buttery goodness!
It's a solid setup!
Have the saltist mq 3k on the ss custom. Love it..
Also own a bq mq 4k and i am probably going to get more of those.
Both of those are sick reels! The BG MQ is something serious!

Thanks for a great video!
I was wondering if you happen to know what sling Wader Dave was using?

Totally agree even on the clearwater side
hopefully it will get better soon!
how is the bg mq? is it better than the original bg
It's a huge step up from the original BG... the BG MQ is quickly becoming my favorite reel.
@@Saltstrong oh yea I have the 2500 and the 3500 bg and there great Mabey I’ll think about getting the new one
@@Saltstrong how does it compare to the Fuego and how is it step up from the og BG?

Does anyone know what rod holder Dave has on his shoulder strap? Also does anyone know which shoulder bag he’s using? Thanks
