The Jaquins look a little weird in this special, I think the models in animation improved when Elena of Avalor came out, I just think the faces look a little off somehow.
Sofia the First was animated by a different studio than Elena of Avalor so that is why the Jaquins look different here.

He's my favorite too. Luna I feel tries too hard, Miggs is just really grumpy most of the time. But Skylar is just open for anything. He wants to go have fun, and have adventures. The others Jaquins we don't know.

Why does Sofia the First and Elena of Avalor have different animation Art? They do have the same animation but different Light, color, and background. Sofia the First uses paintings as backgrounds as for Elena, they use actual 3D backgrounds

In the Secret of Avalor you seen Naomi before and after Elena finishes the story of how she was freed. Mateo was the first person of her three friends she met when she was freed because he was helping Sofia. She met Naomi and Gabe after the events of freeing Avalor. Or that’s what I believe happened 😊
