I have one of those. It has the best third row seating space in the class, considering the car is less than 5 meters long. Larger third row is only available on a MB GLS, LR Defender. Even bmw X7, albeit a larger vehicle, offers the same space back there. Third row in the XC90 can seat comfortably people till 175 cm. Taller people would not be overly happy, but still ok for shorter rides. The second row slides forward, so you can balance the available space as needed. Access to the third row is easy and comfortable once you know how it all works. Another great thing is that you still have a vw polo trunk available with all seats up.

This is the design and the set up from 2015 onwards till today. For 2025 there will be a more modern facelift. There are already videos of it available, but it wont be groundbreaking. The all new design is on the EX90, which is the new EV flagman SUV from Volvo.
