One of the sublime pleasures in life riding a stunning machine on a beautiful day through some lovely villages. This Really is a bike to be proud of sir great job 👏 👍
As a Spotty Teenager" I used to walk into Bike Showrooms" Just to "Lust After" some Day owning one of these machines. I did get to "Ride One" in 1986 when my Brother bought one for only £260 back in 1986, but it needed a "Top End Rebuild" just after he bought it. Which I, and He managed to do in our Garage. It was the Bike of my Dreams. And a Dream come True to Ride One, even just around the Block.
Yep... I'll be riding with that one again. My exhaust pipes used to be on the other GT, he got a set of those Delkevic pips and I fitted them, he gave me his old pipes 😎
First bike -as a pillion - 14 year old in Oxford in 1974. I was hooked. That beautiful burble and a true super bike of the time. It’s not got the cache of the Z1 or the notoriety of the H2, but it had a stately glamour of its own.
Sweet reward for 8 months of hard work. What a smooth sound that engine has.
Beautiful restoration.
Why didn't you open it up - full throttle and red line?
