One of my regrets in this life is that I never got to meet Pete Wells to thank him for his contributions to music and culture. Pete Wells was an amazing musician. One whose influence went beyond Australia. This man influenced guitarists all over the world.
We were truly blessed growing up in Australia in the 70's and 80's.....this was standard fare every weekend at loads of pubs with the amount of talent we had going around
Yes indeed. Australia produced massive talent. From movies like Mad Max to hard rock bands like Rose Tattoo. Even bands like Icehouse, Midnight Oil and INXS were absolutely brilliant.
I saw them on this tour in London at The Marquee., and believe me, you had to be there ...the volume was indescribable...it was like a hammer.....What a band.....
Great set from an uniquely Aussie band who took the Sharpie sound and style to a much harder rockin' level. Never far behind AC/DC but kept things that bit more Sharpie and not a million miles away from the English skinheads who were undergoing a revival at the same time that gave us Oi!/Streetpunk. Love Rose Tattoo.
Made the start of my Friday evening. Good to see anger and how Angry Anderson portrays it. Anger is an emotion we all feel. Accept it, and understand those feelings of anger. Then you must calm yourself and use it to your advantage. Rose Tattoo is one of best. Love.
I first heard of Rose Tattoo as an English Backpacker sharing a house with a scary Aussie covered in scars and Tatts back in 93...he was a real nightmare in many ways growing up real hard homeless on the Streets of Goulbourn from the age of 13,always in trouble with Police, fighting his own worst enemy most the time, but the guy had soul in him,we finally bonded over a few tinnies of VB and my talking of loving Motörhead, Ac/Dc and the Rollins Band..."ah yeah? Well listen ta this" ...Rose Tattoo blew me away 😂 last I heard the guy was breaking in horses in Queensland I hope he's doing great
Quel Rock & Roll !!!! Good Times R'Roll
Rose Tattoo at their best showing off to the wider world. Angry in fine form and esp great to see Pete Wells and Dallas Royall (an underrated drummer) ripping it up. A real tragedy they wernt able or didn't return to Europe /UK in 82 to build on this success . 1982 Scarred for Life was a brilliant album too. Tatts forever !
Dallas Digger Royall -- probably the top rock drummer, really -- right up there with Bill Ward (Sabbath) in my opinion -- although there are tons of 'em who are awesome, but Dallas Royall is definitely not well enough known for his rock drumming.
they loved the tatts in France when I was backpacking heaps of people were asking me about them 1985 ..envious as I had seen them about 20 times..1981 ,23, the powered
Les increvables bagnards australiens. We are Rose 🇦🇺 Tattoo and we play rock'n'roll music on the road, into the wild. « Brothers and sisters, Rock'n'roll is the salvation of our soul, Rock'n'roll is the remedy. » ■ intro d'Angry Anderson (Rose Tattoo) sur la chanson Remedy, Wacken open air festival en 2000.
I first saw “the tatts”rock city Nottingham 1982 rates on par with AC/DC 1976 Corby (my home town)as a 16year old!Have not seen AC/DC since Bon died , saw tatts last year , not exactly 1982 performance wise but he ho time stands still for no man😎
I’ve been seeing the Tatts live since 1981, it’s now June 2022 and saw them a couple of weeks ago. 41 years of hard straight up no bullshit Rock n Roll. I also see a lot of classical music live, symphony and chamber orchestras, quartets trio ensembles. My the works in my music collection span 400 years or so. I mix it up a lot. 🐍TFFT🐍
If acdc hadn't brought out back in black right away when Johnson replaced bon, I don't think they would have lasted haven Johnson rehash old songs. Examples inxs failed, the divinyls failed, the angels failed just a few to prove a point.

Grew up watching Rose Tattoo in western suburbs pubs. What a mighty force of nature.

I rekon Rose Tattoo are every bit as good as AC/DC.
J'ai vu cette émission à la TV à l'époque. Elle m'a marqué pour toujours.

I'm with you on that one. Saw chisel, tatts, heaven, oils, screaming jets judge dred etc. Great times
Prospect Hill Hotel Sunday nights “this pole, the pole” ankle deep in plastic pots at the end of the night.

Yes…. We were blessed…. When they killed Countdown they killed a potential world beating industry…. Bringing in the Pokies was the final blow
The pokie Machines , yes those family wreckers took over the venues , made more money for the pubs and clubs
I saw them on this tour in London at The Marquee., and believe me, you had to be there ...the volume was indescribable...it was like a hammer.....What a band.....
🌹🩸🖤🏴✨
Saw this version of the Tatts so many times back in the day. Neverever saw a bad show and the intensity and energy was indiscribable.

Yeeeaaaah....🤘 rose tatto
I know I’m probably in the minority, but I think they are way better than AC/DC .
Hands down mate
I love Rose Tattoo, but not better than the Bon Scott fronted lineup. I would definitely agree better than the post-Bon era though.
There is no better. It's different.
