I’m pretty sure there was a version of this where a different series of tapes was included. It was about hands, almost like puppets but with eyes glued on the fingers. One the episode where the kids drank the juice included one of the kids from the hand puppet episodes. The kid got their fingers cut off and there was a cracking sound. I remember this version the “show” was called Booby (or something similar) and the episode was about how you shouldn’t play with scissors. I literally just went and read it again and was confused when this section was missing.

The original author - who had only published it to his own blog initially - found out years later and started issuing DMCA notices to anyone who didn't take down the hosted story or a narration without his permission. Most narrations that are still on RUclips are either reups that are on channels that don't get enough traffic for the author to bother trying to contact or flagging, or they were narrated with direct permission from the author.
Mr. bear made over the blog because after the writer claims to be getting spamed with fake Mr. bear emails is actually Mr. bear continuing the blog the writer has, presumably because something bad happened to the writer

I was 7 years old in 1999 and I have grown up and lived in Ontario my whole life. I decided to mess with my mom the other day and ask her about some show I used to watch as a kid. I asked her if she remembered any show about some guy in a bear suit and those talking hands. She said: "Yes. The bear really disturbed me, but I let you watch it anyways because I thought it was just a kids show." Apparently, one day she wanted me to stop watching it completely. I have no memory of this whatsoever. I'm not sure if she was just pulling my leg and is actually a secret creepypasta listener but I didn't ask. I also used to watch a lot of my tv shows on a television set with the rabbit ears. There were a lot of local shows that we were able to receive from our area.

The "monster" is a human behind a mask, the protagonist is an innocent child, who grows up to realize things for what they really were. It's something almost everyone goes through: noticing the darkness of the world that you overlooked in your youth.

Hahaha! I would love to hear you guys produce a full cast production of the creepypasta 'A game of flashlight tag'. If you do please get someone who can sound like a kid to perform the sections of the story that calls for it. I think you guys could really elevate that story with a full cast. Thank you in advance.

I came across creepypasta "1999" when I was 15, but I promise that one included ending where MC confronted Mr. Bear and maybe killed him. Sad to realise that was nothing else than a fan fiction and nothing like that was intended to happen on the first place... It wasn't a part of the original story as created by the author. It was added later without permission. This is the author's original story. My understanding is that the previous versions have been removed

Just watched a video by Nick Crowley about an old kids show where one of the cast was a predator or something, Joy Junction. I wonder if there's any inspiration between that and this story. This story was pretty grounded, one direction I thought it was going but never came (possible part 2 idea) was the tv show was only a rabbit hole, like Alice in Wonderland, an entry point to insanity. An open secret, that being, Mr. Bear was not only alive, but also still operating secretly WITH much if not the entire town a part of it, since a cult implies members, the casualness of the kids guarding their fort is suspicious. Maybe add a little conspiracy of a few cops secretly members who grow suspicious of the blog poster. I think this will be my head-canon since there is no part 2. edit: typo

The 'fake demented poem' began and ended with the initials "INRI" those same initials were revealed to the blogger AFTER the 'fake' email. No prankster could have possibly known of those initials, which means the email was real
I miss the expansions that some people made. I hate that the original author made everyone take them down. He was really pissed over all the extra stuff people were adding to it, but I think it made it so much more intense. The extra emails with the photos, the booby episodes….like it made it an extra hour and a half longer.
I wish that ‘1999’ had never been written for two reasons... despite it being a well written pasta. 1. It has been the only CreepyPasta that traumatised me and scared me shitless. It feels too real, and I hated to think that he might still be out there. Even though the story is probably fake, I still like Mr. Bear’s character. He’s messed up which I absolutely hate... but his unknown backstory interests me. 2. Over the years it played havoc with my OCD and caused intrusive thoughts like... ‘What if I was killed by Mr. Bear?’ Or worse... ‘What if I caught a severe mental illness and became a person like Mr. Bear?!!’ To prevent said thoughts, I would wash my hands constantly, or get into habits, like checking things numerous times. I was physically abused as a child, so thinking that I could turn into this monster caused me to almost end myself!! I hate myself for listening to this pasta, and I hate myself for liking Mr. Bear (before knowing what he did). Nothing personal about the story because it is really good! Although I’m going into therapy soon to talk about the long term effects this has caused!

It's called "The Last Med School Halloween Party", and it's written by a user called "SumGigh" (pronounced as "Some Guy",) a well known Redditor in the r/nosleep community... This question pops up a bit. Simple answer is that the version people remember most (with the scissors, etc), was added without permission to the original story. The story's author reached out to channels who had the incorrect version and ask they be removed. They gave me permission to redo the original version for the channel.
