Well there's really no point if she wants to be coy and not name people and say exactly what they did might as well keep quite or speak out fully imo I hate when people come out but then don't want to name people and tell the full story how does that help to change things
@@Stratz321 right, she also got mad that the media asked why she didnt speak out earlier and claimed to have been basically screaming it but nobody paid attention, but i can't find any interviews or speeches or even social media posts calling out the bullshit all i can find is her just saying a bunch of shit like stop trying to be somebody's definition of enough, you are enough.. she also compared it to and minimised what happened on the one tree hill set with actual sexual misconduct saying essentially being in the cold and likely getting yelled at by an aggressive male in a room full of people who did nothing was worse because on one tree hill the guy lived in la so it wasn't as constant thing.. ya'know the old getting groped wasn't as constant as being cold and yelled at so all good..
Not unlucky, I'm pretty much 100% sure all actresses have felt uncomfortable in a storyline or work environment in the industry. They were just afraid to speak up. Sophia is not, she puts people in their place and won't stand for harrassment. I'm proud to follow her work! 😍😊
@@joshhunt4146 for sure 😢 contractually obligated and unfortunately its rumoured a major reason was because of the behaviour of a coworker who does the same crossovers as she did
I'm never watching this show again I stopped when she left the show anyways but knowing that they're are men on that show and set that did nothing to defend or stop it. I have no tolerance for it. Goodbye Chicago PD.
@@pigletpiglet8751 You can't throw a stone without hitting someone who has been sexually assaulted or raped and in "the business" i mean that's big names who can essentially do whatever, they have their fans and people to back them up and if someone who isn't known isn't going to jail for some sort of sexual misconduct than most likely someone who is know won't either. The sad thing is most people are treated some kind of innaporpriate sexual way many time throughout their lives. It's not surprising. And a lot of people understand that lying about something like this is extremely morally wrong and won't because other people have experience with that said thing.
Clearly she's not lying since everyone on oth including the men agreed about Mark. As far as Chicago why would she name the person. He knows who he is and I'm sure the bosses knew to. If there were other women involved its their choice to speak out. She can't make them. She can only tell her experience. Anyone saying she's a liar u weren't there. So because she had issues on 2 shows she's the problem is crazy.
The show was still great even after she left actually maybe even better in some ways because they focused more on other characters not that I didn't also like her on the show though
I disagree with you. I loved Sophia Bush on One Tree Hill, she was amazing but on Chicago PD I never liked her on it specifically the role she played. Chicago PD was better when she left. Don't get me wrong I do love Sophia but in OTH and her other works, not in Chicago PD and the rest of the Chicago Franchise.
The fact she was harmed by some overbearing piece of crap 💩 is horrible! As for her being the soul of the show, no! Also I prefer her replacement. What about the other woman in the squad? Not a peep so far.
How sad! I am disgusted and deplored by this. I have read an article declaring who it was or who they said it was if he wasn't actually named by Ms. Bush. I will never see him as the same or respect him. You were my favorite character Sophia. No guts, no glory, hell on wheels with an underlying compassion you just don't normally see. The show has and never will be the same without you. The new female characters don't hold a candle to you. I miss you Sophia, but am so HAPPY you are taking care of YOU.
Without knowing any details or what was actually said or done, this isn't a story. She was upset by something, felt uncomfortable and left the show. Good for her, no reason to stay in a bad situation.
This is really nonsensical, with no names or details as to what actually happened. It's useless and if any of its true, actually helps provide cover to the alleged abusers.
There's a lot of hate comments toward Sophia. I myself, works in a mens job. I'm an engineer. Yes, I get insult. Almost all the time. But, you guys must know why woman like me don't just run to the authorities. It's because we care other Co workers that's not doing this kind of crappy things. We protect them. If we go to the authorities, everything will be screw up. Even the innocent will also take the responsibilities. Alsoooo...you will get so much hate that almost no one would believe. You will hear words "hey, you're so pretty. You should get back to the kitchen and wear skirt". Or "not our fault we insult you, your fault to get into this kind of business". And it hurt. I fought the system. Once. And like Sophia,I'm just this tiny figure and found out that it was more traumatic to deal with the authorities than to resign. So I did. I keep resigned everytime the guys insult me. You all will never be in our shoes. So haters will still hate.
I was outright assaulted in the workplace and the "women" were angry with mw for filing a complaunt and everyone knew he did it. He had so much protection and I'm sorry I never went outside the organization to file a legal complaint. I found out the doctor was let go from his previous job for sexual assault.
@Sirenz80 indeed. But most women don't have the courage to share their feelings whenever they have this kind of experience. That Sophia tried to speak up but the comment section really described how it works in real life.

The incident she’s talking about was unfortunately with Jason B. But Jason’s paid his dues and is a better person. He’s gone to therapy, anger management & even apologized to Sophia. I think the indecent was around S3 time. Jason was mega frustrated and lashed out on set. Sophia tried to step in to calm him down and Jason shoved his hand in her face twice. The director even had to yell at Jason to get him away. But like I said, Jason has paid his dues and everyone thinks he flipped out because of his divorce but it is no excuse for how he acted. When Sophia went to the higher ups, things got weird. It wasn’t the cast that was mean to her, it was the bosses. Even the director was told to “watch Sophia.” Granted, she has no beef with the cast but her fans do. Some started rumors that Jesse cheated on her & was the reason she quit the show. But he didn’t want her to stay in a place that made her upset. I feel like the whole cast got put in a terrible position because they were Sophia’s friends. But when the bosses get involved, it gets bad.
Yeah, that's what I heard, too. I suspect Jason was suffering from unresolved grief and other issues after coming out of Scientology. He was also going through a divorce at the time. I am not for a second advocating his behaviour, and Sophia should not have had to deal with it! Grief and PTSD can sometimes manifest itself as anger. I'm glad he's had therapy. X
When do women start marching and protesting for equality?!?! Everyone else is taking a stand for rights, when do we? We are mothers, sisters, aunts, and we deserve to be treated with respect. Why is this still happening...more importantly "how" is this still happening!
Because you already have equality. If you want equality, protest against how men get longer prison sentences, almost always lose custody battles, are more likely to become homeless, who make up 94% of workplace deaths, and who make up most suicides. If you want more rights for women, men need more rights too.
@@DubBossman1 I want proof that men get longer prison sentences and it's not based on gender for child custody. It's based on who would provide the best care. The workplaces men work in are more dangerous however they are choosing where they work. Also, a woman probably wouldn't be hired into the good ole boys club anyway. I don't know what to tell you about the homeless part.. I guess men are bad at paying bills and maintaining homes. Anyway, I'm not impressed with your argument and I stand by my original statement.
@@2020girlygirl So what you are saying is that men should expect to die more often than women becuase they choose to do more manual labour and more dangerous jobs? Acording to that logic, women, such as Sophia Bush, should expect to be harassed. They do choose this job after all, they should expect what may come to them. Men and women have equality, so you are wrong to say women should march for the rights they already have. Custody battles are sexist anyways. It's a double standard, like domestic violence. If a man hits a woman, he is shamed by everyone he knows, will most likely lose a custody battle, and will probably go to prison. If a women hits a man, nobody cares. That's why men never report it. Because they know the authorities will punish the male in the relationship because he must be responsible. There are so many cases in which women scratch themselves to look like they were abused, and that means the man's argument that he wasn't abusing her is completely disregarded.
@@DubBossman1 lol, you are referring to sexual harassment vs workplace deaths. Wherever we go we are harrassed by men, wth are you talking about. It doesn't matter what profession a woman is in. You are a privileged male and don't know what it is like to be a woman at all. You're naive responses let me know you don't understand the struggle of being a woman.
It's very surprising to me that none of the actors stood up and did anything about this alleged abusive behavior by someone. None of their characters would sure tolerate it.
She also accused people in her previous shows of misconduct. Common denominator is Sophia. I am native of Chicago. I am African American. I guess you would say a clean cut type.Just shy of a nerd. Age 58 :So I could care less . I witnessed Chicago Policeman / observed since I was 10 years old. I don't judge any group Ina general manner. However 92% of what I observed during the Mayor Daley rein. The reputation ain't a myth. All that being said.I enjoy theatre ,good character development. I am aware TV is programing as much as it is entertainment. I watched Chicago PD every week could not wait. Now I have seen Sophia interviewed. I like her. Yes it's TV. We have our favorites some some nuts some not. I Got the feeling she is ok. When I became aware of the issues.it took all of a day to figure out who the main asshole was.Lets just say,he or was one 9f my Fav characters.Old fashioned man grit. Anyway I was done when she left. Predators prey on women, men and children. They seem to be less picky these days. I was marathon watching the show when the shit hit the fan. Most television is sh in my humble opinion. I wish they could get it right and not fit up.Us folks 45 on up need something a little cerebral and of character to watch. Oh well back to BBC Luther,Wallander,Happy Valley,Marcella, all great surprises. Excellent TV. Perhaps a bit dark but we'll done.
She seems to have problems on every set/show she has worked on, either she is incredibly unlucky; she's a serial victim or she got attention, plaudits and praise when she gave her "me too" experience and is now in danger of being the one who cried wolf once too often. I hope that she's just unlucky because if she's not then it would cast doubt on "true" victims.
Jesus flower child what other shows then because she seems to be friends with the other shows she was on. She was on Partners after OTH and it was canceled not because she had problems on set . Then she filmed for Hatfields and Mccoys with Jesse and Patrick and that wasn’t picked up and then they all got casted in Chicago pd
I'm interested in knowing what it is that she defines "assault". "assault" is a physical attack, like beating somebody up, so she was beaten up in front of so many people and nobody did nothing? that's what I don't understand. She also talks about abusive behaviour...
According to her, it was verbal. Jason B. has admitted to some anger issues and has sought counseling for himself. From what I've heard and seen, he's really generous and down to earth. But she's been very vague about who it was, so it could have been anybody. Jason might've just seen the signs from other people's behaviors and sought some help. However, I'm still skeptical because this isn't the first time that Sophia Bush has claimed this issue on other shows.
Assault could also be verbal. She shared on a podcast that when filming was taking place she made a suggestion because whatever they were filming didn't go well. Sophia came up with a different take and John B came right up to her face and put his hand over her face to cover her up. In other words, he did not want to listen to what she had to say. I miss her very much on the show and have not watched since she left. There was a great dynamic with the bond between Voight and Erin and also great chemistry with Erin and Jay.
She never, ever says what happened. All these vague innuendos. Just say what happened. It's weird when you won't say what was actually done to was... it makes you seem... untruthful. If something happened, you don't have to name the person (I guess, although I'm not sure why if there was a room with 12 witnesses) just tell what happened. "I was assaulted." What does that mean? Did someone punch you? Grab you by the hair? Touch your privates? Spit on you? Just say what happened and give it context. Or don't. And then stop yammering on about it. If it was bad enough to affect you, it's worth saying what it was.
I had no idea that things got that bad for her, and she played one of my favorites on the show! I do know, however, how bad the production staff treated a friend of mine when he tried out to be a dead body. He doesn't even want to act anymore, and frankly I don't blame him, so I can just imagine how bad it must have been for her. I hope her next job is everything she wanted and more. And I'm grateful that for four seasons we were treated to Detective Erin Lindsay as only she could play her! ❤! 🐰
For the idiots calling her high maintenance for not wanting to film during harsh winters, keep in mind Chicago experiences temperatures as cold as below zero very often. It’s actually considered dangerous to be outside during long periods of time when it’s that cold and filming for just one scene can take hours at a time not to mention reshoots. Anyone would get annoyed after a few seasons. You stand outside for hours a day in below zero temperatures for months at a time everyday and tell me you wouldn’t eventually complain.
Samuel Otaga for the money she probably makes, I wouldn’t ! And apparently nor would anyone else in the cast, as she is the only one that did complain.
Just like the cast who film the walking dead in Atlanta during the summer. They are out there for the whole day you don't hear any of them complaining.
@@pinup60 you probably complain for less...and where is the evidence that she was complaining...by the way I am pretty sure you've complained about your job at least once and if you tell me no then you're a godamn liar
@@anthonyp9591 You're right, I totally do! (even though I'm not paid 1/20 of what she is) Not my point though, anyway. My point is: all the others actors in the series work under exact same conditions as her, and apparently she was the only one complaining. I dont know if she actually complained or not, I'm just pointing out the failure on Samuel Otaga's argument, as he wrote that it would be a plausible excuse (considering she did complain). I'm not discussing here if she complained or not, I'm just showing that "discussion-wise" his argument doesn't work.
This Means Nothing. This doesn’t make her strong nor her story. 1. I don’t care how big you are, you would’ve been decked A Long Time Ago. 2. No Job is Worth this Much Aggravation and 3. I’m dropping a Dime on all the heads. I don’t care who you are. I’d rather you get exposed and ruined then triumphing what you did. And one more thing, believe it or not Your Voice Can Be Heard. If she felt uncomfortable and violated, take a Stand and let the dudes know. There are guys that will back off. And they only touch and say inappropriate things if you allow them. My BFF’s are men. I’ve seen. At work, I’ve seen. If You Allow It, It Will Continue. And to the guy that doesn’t stop when you said NO, report his ass because that a huge violation of your rights. Sorry but I feel no pity for females who come out years later when they have the Power To Shut Shit Down and Turn It Around.
I wonder what happened exactly? Like a guy was hitting on her publically, and either he was a big star and didn't do anything about it, or they see her fake smiling and thought bit was ok? Very cryptic.
She was verbally assaulted by Jason Beghe (Voight). He's known for having a temper. Since Sophia left the show and her departure caught so much attention people have been digging and putting pressure on it, NBC made Beghe go to counseling. His own marriage blew up after 20 years because of his temper.
I didn’t even know she left I just noticed when I watched to show and notice she was gone and went to investigate. Super disgusting by what she went through and the fact that no one stood up for her kinda glad she left and honestly I’m scared for the other women on the show who knows if it’s still going on. But yeah I’m done watching this my fav couple is over and my fav character is gone yep I’m done.
I stopped watching the show too! It's sad cuz I assumed they were a tight knit group. All those guys on the show didn't stick up for her! That's appalling!!!! Didn't she date one of them in real life. Jesse. He didn't even stick up for her! Like wtf! She doesn't deserve any of this. It makes me sick and no one should watch this show. They should cancel it!
you don't know what you talking about and you repeat gossips. Sophia said herself she still loves 99% of this cast and she didn't want them to lose their jobs. it was Beghe but he apologized. And she was not clear so don't repeat rumors.
they are the knit group. you don't know what you talking abt. She had many scenes just with Beghe alone and the problem was with him. And she said she is friends with the rest of the cast still, vists them in Chicago and she didn't want them to lose their job, it is not so easy and black&white as you think.
I heard things are getting investigated over there...seems like she's not the only one who was harrassed on set...hopefully, whoever did it receive lawful punishment...
I think it's not very fair to her colleges. She is telling the ugly story without telling anything. What's happened how it's happened? No names. And now we should suspect everyone in this show? Even people who wasn't there. If something bad really happened with her women from industry should be warned.
She left another show prior to this wanting to get out of her contract to do something else, this is a fact she herself said on air. Seems to have a pattern of the me me me! I wouldn't be surprised if she has just dumped her own career.
@@keola96c36 she's not talking about OTH she was on a few other pilots after OTH, she didn't go from OTH to Chicago PD, but I do think that ppl dont realize that Hollywood is not all its cracked up to be, it can be a VERY dark scary sketchy place.
Jesus flower child yeah but she didn’t leave any other pilots to do something else. It either didn’t get renewed or picked up. What shows are he talking about then?
And by the way some here referred to Mark, I pretty sure they were referring to Mark Harmon. Nothing was ever proven that he did any misconduct toward any of his cast members. Let’s get facts straight
Not Mark Harmon. People are talking about Mark Schawn the showrunner of One Tree Hill who 32 woman from OTH and the royals came forward that they were sexually harassed by him. Mark Harmon isn’t even on Chicago PD, he was on NCIS and that was with Pauly Perette.
I’m not saying she’s lying but nobody knows what really happen on the set , she is the only woman talking about it and if it did then it needs to come out in the open so other women can be aware of it .
All the people who is on set who know it is. They all put multiple complaints on him and he got an anger management coach. She got most of it then the others
That's absolutely disgraceful! I'm a big fan of the show and I don't know who would be so low as to do that to Sofia but whomever it was, SHAME ON YOU! AND EXTREMELY SHAME ON ALL OF YOU that never did anything about it!
From the rumor I heard a while back, her and the guy who plays Voight didn’t get along so I’m not sure if it was exactly him or someone else in the crew. 😬
Malcolm Dwain Carter it was the guy who plays voight . Nbc received multiple complaints from cast and crew about his anger issues and making the set hostile . He admitted to it and was given an anger management coach to follow him around
Whatever kind of abuse it was, there is still no excuse for that type of behavior. I wouldn't tolerate that either, but if you sign a contract, you shouldn't be able to just "blackmail" your way out of it. A contract is a contract and your decision may affect other people's careers. I get that you're unhappy, but sometimes you have to work for people that you don't like. Obviously if she was put in a situation that was illegal, then getting out of the contract I understand, but if it's verbal abuse, deal with it. I've worked at many jobs where people were extremely rude to me, but I wasn't just going to quit out of nowhere. It's unprofessional.
She didn’t quit out of nowhere. She told them at the end of S3. That they have 23 episodes to fix things or she would leave. They knew she was going to leave if things didn’t work. They didn’t do anything .Then she was told they were not got to let her out of her contract by producers and other people . The producers kept Dick Wolf and NBC in the dark about the problems on the set. When Dick found out he flew straight to Chicago to see what could be done and so did NBC and they let her out of her contract .
Nobody and I mean absolutely nobody has the right to abuse of anyone in anyway or any form. It doesn't matter whether it's verbal or physical, that type of behavior should never ever be tolerated and much less accepted by anyone.
alan arroyo yes of course that behavior is intolerable but if you have a contract and leaving that contract could harm other peoples careers and you originally signed up for a certain amount of years to stay on that show then it is slightly unprofessional that she just up and left.
@@paigejordyn579 I understand your point of view, but no contract should be more important then your life and your health. If a person feels threatened or unsafe in a place, that is not something to be taken lightly. Now one thing I do have to emphasize is that I myself have seeing a lot of abuse and bullying towards women from men, and that is something that can't be tolerated in any level because even tough it may not seem like it this situation is actually worse then people think. Overall no men or women should have to tolerate such behavior, and if you are working in a environment where nobody cares about you, why do you have to care then?
I see ppl repeating just lies and gossip in the comment section, as always. It was Beghe - probably, but this is still just gossip, he was the problem and Sophia still said she is friends with 99% of the cast& wants to protect them, she also still vists the cast in Chicago from time to time. Still, Beghe has problems, but he apologized, went to the psychologist, everyone has their problems, acting is a emotionally exhausting job. Besides, she said - on another podcast, that she wants to protect the cast yet the same time how can she be so selfish to expect the rest of the cast and crew to lose their jobs, becasue without Voight this show would be cancelled. The tension on the movie/tv sets is nothing new, everyone has the right to make a mistake, Beghe apologized, improved and we have to give people a second chance. And the show is still 100% great. And from the social media you can see all the cast, including the girls on the show, like Marina who is there since s1, are doing great, zero problems. Sophia also - I read- didn't want to film during Chicago harsh winters, such a delicate flower lol. So sorry, but it looks to me Sophia was simply high maintenance. Besides, it seems she was talking abt the crew, she is still friends with the cast as she said herself.
Yes, she hated the cold winters, but that is not the reason she left. Perhaps the cold added to her being miserable. In season 4 she became physically sick with the stress she was dealing with. She had adrenal failure. This was stated on her podcast.
She agrees to quietly leave an abuser behind to keep abusing? That's brave?!? Think, people! Ask questions! You never think a woman could be untruthful about abuse claims? Not passing judgement, just trying to objectively question. Two shocking claims about two hugely successful shows? Sounds fishy, donit?!?
There are 2 sides to every story, and somewhere in the middle lies the truth.Shecsaid she wanted out of her contract and basically threatened the staff. If your abused, and you paint that picture and do nothing to prevent that happening from someone else, I have a hard time seeing your story.
Charles Burdette Thats why she left so Jason could be finally investigated and Dick Wolf finding out after his producers and directors lied to him about what was going on. If she didn’t leave, Jason would still be doing all the things he was doing then
It is way more complex than that in movie biz. They Obviously talked her into doing everything quiet and not naming names so she could get out of her contract and they could try and fix the problems on set which was way beyond Jason but he was worse than anyone on pretty much any set. 1st day I was on set with him it was like a total joke I thought it was a prank he was so bad to All the women.
Sorry for her experiences and glad she walked away but I don't understand why she stayed so long on the show only to basically blackmail them into letting her out of her contract. Say something immediately, not seasons later or once your gone. You dont need some movement to give you permission to know your rights and how you should be treated. If they dont respect you, respect yourself. If no one wants to fight for you, fight yourself. Stop tolerating things for years, it gives the appearance that you accept and approve of the behavior. Dont stay where you're being treated like shit
Janay Royster when they let you out of contract “for being difficult” they force you to sign NDAs that have clauses that last for years for reasons like this so people would question their integrity for waiting so long to say something- plus they can sue her if she says something before the NDA expires and if no one on set is was willing to corroborate then, they probably aren’t now unfortunately. I’ve been fortunate to work on great sets, but the stuff they ask you to sign beforehand just to work in the first place puts you in a legal quagmire, which unless you’re powerful or have great network of people behind you becomes a problem
Have you learned nothing from the me too movement?! It’s not so easy to speak up right away! People are afraid. In this case there’s a job, a career on the line! My gawd! Do your research!!
Every person thinks they know what they are gonna do if, something happens to them, but when they are in the situation, the mind goes blank. It's so hard to call people, when you're scared. People look at vulnerability as a weakness. That's why they don't say anything, until they face themselves. So blaming her is wrong.
More people have left that show than are still on it. She is a strong, articulate, intelligent woman whose beauty is well-rounded that is a wonderful exampler to young girls (and boys) as well as role model that you can be Hollywood beautiful and have your mind, spirit and soul be just as luminous.
the show is doing great without her. and you don't know what you talking about. She said she is still friends with the cast, her problem was with Beghe. He apologized since then. As for Sophia - good riddance !
It was infront of a lot of people . But no one wanted to talk because they were afraid to lose their jobs. She told producers from s1 about it and they were going to take care of it every time she said she something . Her and others filed complaints with HR. And when she was asked by the investigator what is going on . She was like HR has it all on file and was told there was nothing. HR threw away all the records and she also found out that Dick Wolf/NBC was kept in the dark
It would be one thing if the claims didn't have evidence that backed them up. Do your research on Schwann and then look up the claims on Chicago P.D. Also, the people that do these kinds of things do under the guise that they aren't total scum bags. Yet hiding the truth that they most certainly are and her details about people being in the same room and yet did nothing? That's sick. I am an OTH fan myself and re-watch the show off but anytime I see Schwann on the show or in any of the credits I shudder. Apparently Chicago P.D has had a revolving door of female leads exit.
Multiple cast and crew complained about Jason and how me made the set hostile and cast getting physically hurt . Jason even admitted to it and was given an anger management coach to follow him around
I’d like to hear her say this and not just read it. Cuz someone could just have come up with the things in the video. And also either she opens up about it 100% or she keeps it private ow there’s a bit of both. And I think we should stop speculating because that will only lead to an even more toxic environment. If you for certain know who’s she’s talking about feel free to call them out but if you’re it sure don’t spread incorrect information
I'm so sad there are so many disgusting men in the world that think they can do whatever they want with whomever they want. I'm so happy for you Sophia that you stood up and said NO! This is not ok and NO! I will not tolerate it.
It was Jason for sure! He did that with all women on set and off set and was very very blatant about it!! People laughed at it or joined in! This was from day one on the show and the whole set was Extremely sexually charged compared to any I have seen even sex scenes and nude scenes and way more class. It is a shame because it is a good show with some great people attached but it was out of hand from the beginning. With that said almost all sets have this just that this one was everywhere and almost encouraged.
So the cast signed some sort of confidentiality agreement...if something really happened why doesn't anyone know any any details...why wasn't anybody at least fired...i think either she exaggerated about the incident or it didn't happen....
I never knew about this, what the hell... I really love this show but it's probably worse without her. I can't accept the fact that there are rich people out there that treat people like shit. They should go to jail.
I thought it was revealed to be Jason Beghe(Voight) awhile ago. And I do remember him issuing a statement apologizing for his bad behavior on set, saying he had "anger issues".
She left Chicago Pd because she and jesse broke up. She is that girl, date my costar and if it doesn’t work out, it’s too awkward to work with you so I’m leaving. It’s just like one tree hill. After her divorce she left the show
I stopped watching the show since one of the episodes was way too realistic about rape and being drugged, in that case gassed with a drug. I was raped when I was 17 and that episode with SUV at the same time, just to say I gave up two tv shows I loved because of triggers. Chicago PD was more on point with things about rape though and that’s sad because SUV is pretty on point. Which makes sense now on why they were!
Megan Porter my question is though how come they don’t self censor this? Like I know they’re trying to get a point across but I think whoever is behind the releasing and the tall orders wants the shows to be like soft core porn for rapists and killers. I don’t want to sound like a conspiracy theorist but considering several nbc hosts have been fired for giving pretty valid criticisms, it wouldn’t surprise me the way they’re trying to play politics so it seems like they care but they’re really pandering towards a double standard so we keep having this dumb argument around what is really happening in the world that shouldn’t even be questioned to be bad. And then the rapist enablers make excuses about, “but so and so from “your side” said this and that” as an excuse to somehow make it ok and normal like regardless of where it occurs, abuse of any sort or violence isn’t justified period but they just can’t comprehend that the world has more than two polarized perspectives. It’s like the women haters and men haters. They serve no purpose other than arguing and using the same type of logic for their argument and then they trash the people actually making the valid points because they can’t see beyond the “two perspective” mentality.
Jose Mendoza A-M-E-N! You are on point and fire with these words. I agree with it all and it’s sad. These same people shame males when it happens to them to keep quiet too. This whole war against each other make no difference but blindside us on what really needs to be seen and heard. The fact simple charges for smaller offenses get a bigger sentence in the courtroom but rapists get what less than 6 years if not that? Or the fact that many people wanted 13 reasons why taken down because it created conversation about what happens in this world and in school on serval topics. I didn’t agree with how graphic the scenes were because it triggered triggers for me. This world is crooked big time and it makes me paranoid because I have absolutely no faith in the justice system. You see women get torn to pieces for speaking their truth but what does the abuser get, nothing but freedom when a women will suffer from ptsd for the rest of her life. Fighting for good days and preparing for the worst. Same with men who go through it too. I don’t agree with shooting scenes like that. The episode I watched that made me stop watching also followed with an suv episode about the same thing. You couldn’t see but you could graphically hear and I was done. I couldn’t sleep for weeks because I had flashbacks. People will only think for a second “let’s change that” but two months later “she shouldn’t of been wearing that”. Utter bs!
She didn’t leave because of Jesse. If she left because of Jesse, she would have never returned to do two fan conventions with him. She left Because of Jason Beghe. Jason was investigated by NBC because they received multiple complaints from cast and crew about his anger issues and him throwing tantrums on set. He was given an anger management coach to follow him around and he even admitted to having anger issues
If this really happen then why not see a lawyer for harassment i mean a while back some of the cast was on one of those tv show including a female actress. They all seem happy but again why take the abuse.
She went to nbc and told them of the issues. She told her producers and they told her something would be done. They kept it from Dick Wolf. He was in the dark until he heard about Sophia wanting to leave
I'm sorry to be harsh but you shouldn't claim abuse vaguely.. be very clear about what happened so there is no room for people to minimise immoral behavior, if we really are going to talk about this shit we need to be honest about how both sides could have done better. Also without naming names it could have been anyone so now anyone associated with the show could be viewed as guilty despite probably not even having knowledge of anything inappropriate.. also why are her coworkers expected to protect her? She didn't ask for help so how are they supposed to know what she wants to happen, you get involved and it's just like domestic abuse victims they could tell you to mind your own business because it's not your place but then when people don't impose on victims they also get told what they are doing is wrong and that theu should have done something.. you can't bloody win
@@itsyevette836 I think there are other ways to go about that instead making something up entirely so I'm sure there is some truth to what she has said it's just been exaggerated or mishandled. Only talking through something halfway to avoid discomfort is why we never solve our real issues as a species. We don't have a right to her experience, but as a society i believe we have a right to know when someone exists that some of us need to be careful interacting with and i also believe that if you decide to talk about your trauma with the world then you need to tell the full story because half a story doesn't solve anything. People being aware of the pain black people go through like with the police in America right now is all well and good but awareness isn't enough on it's own. enough awareness more action. There was the whole me too movement and yet wheres the upheaval and ass kicking people were about to dole out to all levels of industries.. this just sounds like same old hollywood.. girls worried more about how it will affect their career or their image more than they are concerned for other women to cross these peoples paths or basic human decency for themselves. People need to fight for themselves as if that was somebody treating their child that way.
It was Jason Beghe. He admitted to anger issues and having problems on set as why he was given a anger management coach to follow him around because multiple cast and crew complained about him
I liked her as Lindsey but the show has gotten better without her. They actually solve cases without her drama as a storyline. That shit got old after a while. I like Upton, Burgess, and Rojas better on the show. If you go back and watch the earlier seasons they might as well have called it Lindsey and Voight P.D.
To me now it’s Upton And Voight PD. The earlier seasons were much better jmo. Now it’s just Voight trying to get them out all of the messes they made because they screwed up a case
@@keola96c36 I disagree. I think the show has gotten darker, but I do agree that they do need to flesh out better character development. 7 seasons in and we're just now really getting a story arc about Atwater. I will say the Burgess/Ruzek dynamic has gotten tiresome as well. As far as Voight I'm surprised he hasn't gone apeshit just from being tired of half the squad sleeping with each other.
Michael Corbett I’m sure it is. We’re not going to finding out anything else since the network had to cover up the drama. The articles I’ve read in the past just confirmed the details.
I applaud Sophia for continuing to speak out against these men and the treatment they do to women. It's wrong in every way and it needs to be stopped.
@Lizzie Allen Because if she has no evidences she could be accused of defamation.
@Captain Howdy shes not lieing she has to prove it but the entire cast looked the other way. she has no proof.
@Captain Howdy no. She's not.
That woman is so talented yet so unlucky
Not unlucky, I'm pretty much 100% sure all actresses have felt uncomfortable in a storyline or work environment in the industry. They were just afraid to speak up. Sophia is not, she puts people in their place and won't stand for harrassment. I'm proud to follow her work! 😍😊

I quit watching as well. Can't support disgusting behavior like this.
Too bad she can’t name names. That would make this more powerful.
She probably made some sort of agreement about the names in order to be let out of her contract
hsmrmae - Exactly. That’s how patriarchal the industry is. Gross. 🤮
In court followed by "taching taching" makes it more powerful on the pocket.
I don't think so because then that just becomes a he said she said and then it is basically every case all over again.
Wow that’s so sad that she had to go through that. There’s no excuse for bad behavior.

What really made me angry is that no one helped Sofia when she was assaulted wide open, being complicit is the same as assulting someone.
according to her
She was the soul of the show. Can't replace her sweet voice and smile... show went to crap after her departure
finally someone who agrees with me!!
The show was still great even after she left actually maybe even better in some ways because they focused more on other characters not that I didn't also like her on the show though
@@Stratz321 I respect your opinion, while I honestly think the show is just too boring and dark for my interest. Have a good day
I disagree with you.
That guy should be punished. She should file charges against him. No woman should have to face something what she went through each N every day.
She never explained what she went through. Did someone yell at her, talk down to her, was inappropriate with her, I have no idea.
Good on her for getting out. No $$ is worth your health - physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.
I'm sorry you had to go through that.
Welcome to the mens everyday world.
There is a limit for everything.
@Sirenz80 indeed. But most women don't have the courage to share their feelings whenever they have this kind of experience. That Sophia tried to speak up but the comment section really described how it works in real life.
She's throwing that word assault around like it was a sexual assault when she really just got yelled at for screwing up
The way female leads have been rotating on the set of the Chicago franchise I have been wondering what is going on.

Voight is the show...hes not a great guy and has demons...but on show hes stellar.
It was Constant sexual verbal abuse dude! Now relax Francis!
ew. victims don't have to detail their assaults so that YOU'RE convinced. that attitude is beyond disgusting. do better.

So sad what women have to go through and what men get away with......
It is also sad that men want fame so much that it makes cowards of them !!
I'm glad she is speaking up
I always have a feeling that those actresses who didn't let to be abused didn't get enough air time and can barely succeed in Hollywood.
At least they didn’t kill her character in the show.
Good for her and although I miss her acting I wish her the best in life and hope that she is happy doing whatever it is that she is doing now.

Even people who wasn't there. If something bad really happened with her women from industry should be warned.
It was Jason Beghe. Articles came out saying it was him and he even admitted to it and people know who it is
This ruined the entire show for me....
She left another show prior to this wanting to get out of her contract to do something else, this is a fact she herself said on air. Seems to have a pattern of the me me me! I wouldn't be surprised if she has just dumped her own career.
She didn’t leave any other show. She was on OTH the entire nine seasons and not only her but 32 other woman came forward about Mark.
@@keola96c36 she's not talking about OTH she was on a few other pilots after OTH, she didn't go from OTH to Chicago PD, but I do think that ppl dont realize that Hollywood is not all its cracked up to be, it can be a VERY dark scary sketchy place.
I mean He! I didn't take a proper look at the username whoops!
Jesus flower child yeah but she didn’t leave any other pilots to do something else. It either didn’t get renewed or picked up. What shows are he talking about then?
Yeah… she’s the common denominator in a lot of “issues” for example this ain’t the first time she’s claimed “abuse” on the set of a show.
This happens far too often
Keola96 C 😳 So his character was somewhat his actual self. Wow.
Keola96 C wow, they kept the network and creator in the dark 🤦🏾♂️
Sophia had to take care of her health. Adrenal failure is not something to play with.
I think men need to know there is not a neutral stance. You’re either part of the abuse or doing something to stop it.
Ahhh ok.. Always wondered why she left.
Teazjha Moyé that would got back to the real Chicago pd someone would went to jail and the show would been gone
She is such a strong woman!
No need to victim blame, at the end of the day, she left, that's what's important.
Hollywood plays by their own rules. Not easy when a whole show is against you.
Every person thinks they know what they are gonna do if, something happens to them, but when they are in the situation, the mind goes blank. It's so hard to call people, when you're scared. People look at vulnerability as a weakness. That's why they don't say anything, until they face themselves. So blaming her is wrong.
Why didn't she sue or did she
Hope she finds another TV series to work on
I'm still watching the show. My favorite!
Show royally sucks ever since she left
More people have left that show than are still on it. She is a strong, articulate, intelligent woman whose beauty is well-rounded that is a wonderful exampler to young girls (and boys) as well as role model that you can be Hollywood beautiful and have your mind, spirit and soul be just as luminous.
the show is doing great without her. and you don't know what you talking about. She said she is still friends with the cast, her problem was with Beghe. He apologized since then. As for Sophia - good riddance !
@@natkam451 He apologized, but things kept happening. Listen to her podcasts.
@@natkam451 she said on a podcast that he had to apologize for his behavior. He apologized to everyone but Sophia.
What was the actual behavior? Verbal or physical?.
This whole time I thought Austin Kincaid was Sophia Bush.
What kind of abuse? What happened? Verbal abuse..if it was why didn’t she record it due to it happening often.
I loved her on OTH. But, how many times can one person accuse so many different people?
Men we need you to step up too ❤️
There's just something about her claims that don't ring true. Self absorbed. I wish her well.
Very sad to be violated, live strong
WOOOOW! Shame!!
So basically had a good experience except for person. I don't feel bad. She is among the most privileged.
* now & *not. Hehe… wrote a bit to fast
I'm so sad there are so many disgusting men in the world that think they can do whatever they want with whomever they want. I'm so happy for you Sophia that you stood up and said NO! This is not ok and NO! I will not tolerate it.
And then they say "not all men"
It was Jason for sure!
@@BIG_DRU I was on that set several times and saw it constantly. She is understating. It happens on Every set though.
BIG DRU she has said what happened on the podcasts she was on and for the first six months she was not allowed to say anything
I feel so sorry for her :( so bad
That’s so sad
I never knew about this, what the hell... I really love this show but it's probably worse without her. I can't accept the fact that there are rich people out there that treat people like shit. They should go to jail.
I wish she would name who hurt her! That is the ONLY way it will stop!
I thought it was revealed to be Jason Beghe(Voight) awhile ago. And I do remember him issuing a statement apologizing for his bad behavior on set, saying he had "anger issues".
Irony. A show about a Police department resulting in one of the most disgusting things you can do against women.
She left Chicago Pd because she and jesse broke up. She is that girl, date my costar and if it doesn’t work out, it’s too awkward to work with you so I’m leaving. It’s just like one tree hill. After her divorce she left the show
No she didn’t she was on OTH till the end Chad Michael Murray left the show but like 2 seasons after they split
She left chicago PD because of Jason Beghe. She didn’t leave because of Jesse. She didn’t leave one tree hill, she was there till the end
Utter bs!
@@electric6877 Quick question out of curiosity: are you a male feminist/sjw?
wow that's crazy I heard bout what happens but messing with co workers not good at all .
Weird wasn’t she dating or living with Jesse Lee Soffer at the end of her time on Chicago PD? Did she report the assault?
I hate her i like upton character (Tracy)more . Sophia lied in those allegation she left because of her ex bf which was Jesse....
I guess money and power are still in control
Exactly I want to know who ... feel like she just wanted out from the show
@@itsyevette836 I think there are other ways to go about that instead making something up entirely so I'm sure there is some truth to what she has said it's just been exaggerated or mishandled.
He admitted to anger issues and having problems on set as why he was given a anger management coach to follow him around because multiple cast and crew complained about him
Sophia looks like she could be twins with Uruguayan actress Natalia Oreiro! Beautiful women.
Keola96 C Last we saw, Upton & Voight weren’t exactly on the best of terms
Wow. I never knew the full truth, just the rumors.
Malcolm Dwain Carter how do you know this is the full truth?
Michael Corbett I’m sure it is. We’re not going to finding out anything else since the network had to cover up the drama. The articles I’ve read in the past just confirmed the details.
