This is one of the very first shows the SCNA used separate high top tables and practiced "NO TOUCH" judging. As you can see, there were no fly-aways or other things feared in the past doing it this way.
When you start seeing other groups or serama shows doing this, remember that it was the SCNA that paved the road and tried it first here in the US. I think we proved it could successfully be done. I believe its a combination of the high tables and space between handlers, birds, judges that allow this all to work so smoothly. I hate to toot my own horn, but the high-top tables was my idea back in 2011. :) Not bad for a small show. It takes some warming up for us Americans to hoop and yell like the Asians can, but we're trying. :)
Look at how well these chickens have trained these people to whoop and clap!

I don't understand it either. The Malaysian ones are supposed to pull back more. Since these are not Malaysians, I don't see the point of doing so.

they body were too big . we dont call this serama as if they got huge body n do not hve any style on them . if real serama ,thn they should walk proud on the table n flap their wings like they the king of all .nice colour ,but big body . fail

Thats not serama . That ayam kapan or ayam katik . Much larger than the serama . Take a look on malaysia serama . 1 of the best serama u can find

Yes, they will.. but the thing is, in their birth place (Malaysia), the owner put a lot of contribution & commitment to train their chicken.. thus, the chicken will react/ response as this little bird is quite clever & knew their owner/care taker... you may see the Malaysian Serama Contest so that you will understand why this behavior is being practiced in the contest :)..
FYI , Serama is derived from Sri Rama (from Indian Legendary Character in Ramayana Epic) which depict a handsome, brave, demigod prince in human body.. so this chicken should behave like a real Prince :)

Why do they whoop and yell?
The chickens get excited and alarmed. When this happens, they stand at attention. They are also trained that when they hear clapping and cheering, that its "show time". Do a search on youtube for "malaysian serama show". This is one of my favorites Scene of Serama Competition in Malaysia Kind of funny, but they even play loud music.
Its just a different way of showing chickens here in the US and unless you've been around it - its easy to laugh at and make fun of. However when you see a good serama in a show... you know it. Its so much different and more exciting to me than standard ABA/APA shows where the birds are just in-cage and not much interaction.

In Myanmar and in the North East part of India you can get the best of the kind... 100% guarantee... And they are way more smaller... Anyway nice birds though... Good luck

@@LeeXuan88 Bantam means small chicken than a normal one. There are many types of bantam chickens. True bantams are those that don't have a standard counteraparts, example; Chabo, Seabrights and Serama.
