I'm making a car parking system and i want to count the number of cars using ic 4026. So fan you please tell me how to store the input when there are maximum cars in system and transmit it to logic gate. Like when all parking lots are occupied the signal is sent to logic gate

Can you measure the current e.g. for segment A with and without the resistor and do this not only for 5V input (e.g. 9V or 12V) ?
Are these 8 resistors necessary or does the 4026 regulate the current independent of the input voltage ?
Just put one resistor on the common cathode of the 7 segment. There is no need to use 7 resistors!

the "7 segment display" needs a resistor! but what size? and the 7 segment comes in different sizes, so which size resistor for which size 7 segment do i use? certainly their are formulas but you need to know the size of the led to get the voltage and current and then you can figure out what resistor to use. but how do you do that?
If you know the wattage (Basically the maximum applicable current through the LED. Eg: For the 5mm LED, we know it is 20mA) of the LED, the you can easily calculate the power of resistor (W = V x I) and resistance value (V = I x R)

By the way, you can not connect large display directly to the this IC, you need transistors.

Jam pins… would some please explain “setting” a number with jam pins.
sir i want to make an up and down counting counter meter of three digits. so how to do this. i did use to needed components in this circuite, like 74ls192ic, 74ls47ic, and common anode segment , 5v 300ml amp dc supply. but i did not get succeeded in this circuit. sir pls guide me about this circuite to do.

If power supply ic 5v, then resistor value can be 220 ohms to 470 ohms.
Isn't it easier to connect one 220 ohm resistor to the ground pins of 7-segment display? That way you use less resistors?

Until there is load resistance of 1k is given to pin1 and pin2

Everytime I push the button the LED lights up and the 7 segment also lights up, but it doesn't count. What is the problem in mine?
In my opinion, the pull-up resistor on input 1 is missing.

I used 270 ohm, nothing changed
The resistor values decide the brightness of the 7 segment display
More the resistance value ,less the current through it and thus less brighter it will be
So it won't make a difference unless it is too light or too bright which increases the chances of the LED of the 7 segment display getting burned

12v de to sakte he par agar iss circuit ke saath dusra logic ic use karenge to prblm ho jayega. Mere hisap se aap agar 12v dena chahte ho to 7805 voltage regulator use kar lijiye. Sab ke liye acha rehega.

Mai wo display nahi dekha to batane mai thoda problem ho raha hai. Phir bhi try to kar sakta hu, aap ic ka power supply 5v rakho, display ka power supply 12v rakho. Dono ka ground common rakho, compulsory hai. Aab, ic se display tak jo jo signal pin connect hoga uske saath 1k resistor laga ke connect kar do. Mere hisap se kam ban jana chahiye, digital circuit to isi tarah kam karta hai.
Aur agar aapke circuit mai sirf ic 4026 hai, to aap aramse 12v supply de sakte ho, koi problem nahi hoga.
