Love this movie , i worked 6 months as an extra 😁 one of the best memories of my life . being so close to the actors , free food , 8 hours in a swimming pool and getting paid for it
Mostly when the ship started to sink , theres a scene in the movie when they shoot flares and a little girl looks at the sky to see it , i was 5 feet from the scene also at the end i was a salior in my white star line suit who unloaded the life boats , sadly you wont see me at any scene. but when i see the movie i know exactly what scenes i was near the actual filming .
Amazed no one was electrocuted on set. So much water and electricity. It must have been an absolute thrill to work on a set like that. It truly is one of the greatest movies ever made.
@@victorsamsung2921 Yeah by this point Cameron had already solved the problem with The Abyss, there's a clip somewhere of him speaking about exactly that.
I would love to be one of the main people 🤩. But of course not Jack or Rose. Leo and Kate were meant for that role. Maybe like hmmmmm Milly Bobby Brown?......maybe?
i really thought this was filmed only in a green screen but actually it wasn't. gosh, it was so amazing watching all those people screaming for their lives coz i thought it was just an effect.
Love how Jim respects the entire cast and crew. That little respect always gets everyone to give it there all. So many directors I see are yelling and demanding Jim so calm and respectful
@@adamahmad1262 lol. Yep jim is one of those nightmare directors. He's fierce but they say he has mellowed over the years. Kate said she would never work with him again, unless they paid her alot of 💰..Wow he is also famous for smashing actors cell phones when they rudely go off during filming and keeping em nailed on a wall on sets lol.
@@adamahmad1262 unfortunately yes. He can be a tyrant . But he also pushes himself beyond even what actors expect. Hopefully he's learned how to treat all film crew with respect and not just top a listers. There's a report jim wouldn't allow kate to go to the bathroom during a water scene and poor Kate had an accident or was forced to go during the scene. James was definitely not a nice guy in the 90s !!
@@shel0016 so true.but he did,did his best.imagine if he didnt do all that Titanic wont be as huge as it was.His passion towards the carft that made its so speacial.
Such an intense film making process....so many minute nuances and details to be created and oh my the cast and crew is one of the largest film production team..yet the director is so humble cool calm n warm to everyone on set..... I think thats the main reason y he is able to make such a successful film and make a name for himself and everyone who worked in the film.
respect to james cameron, h is everywhere to show and tell step to step in all people , awesome work, beyond imagination, titanic one of the best films that ever made
I remember when the film was out in 1997, I heard that it takes a huge work and who watched the very first time the Titanic were astonished by it. When I discovered it later I understand their reactions.
Watching this gave me chills because just to think about what the people that went through this that lost their lives in this tragic accident…. It’s truly heartbreaking 💔 RIP.
So much goes into making a movie! almost don't realise or really appreciate the hours put in. Didn't realise they'd made a full Titanic set that big. Such a horrific true story :(
Wow, this is amazing. I can't believe i have never watched any of the behind the scenes footage! I really thought that they were in the middle of the friggin ocean!!!!!
James Cameron is a intense Director notice he is right there in the shot right there motivating the Actors. When James says do this this and this those Actors nod and deliver. James is a genius when it comes to story telling some people have said "James is a bully he is a jerk to people" James is a professional and he makes those Actors earn their check so when me the audience see's his final vison in the Theater I sit in awe
If QM capsizes and never gets saved, we should recreate these sets with a boarding side and a ocean view, which would be fun as we could board the ship (maybe even sleep in the cabins as a hotel) and re-enact the sinking with the bow going down slowly then maybe at a certain point the ship is raised up again out of the water (maybe just before or after the well-deck and fore-castle go under). It'd be a very fun experience as also they could make some of us go down in lifeboats. It'd be a huge attraction and pull in people from around the globe
its crazy seeing them working in the real water in the set while its flooded, also eery, crazy how they made the inside destruction seem so natural also were they actually in the ocean or large pool? Cause that ship looks as big as the real titanic.

this is real deal....not fake green screen
James Cameron is a freaking genius.
He has a very wide imagination.
too
I could watch endless hours of behind the scenes stuff on Titanic.
Me too and of any great movie.
Same, it’s like a part 2
Including how they built the sets, exterior and interior. From all angles. Not just the grand staircase flooding etc.
Me too

well most movies have dedicated electricians and even a newbie knows that you need to use circuit breakers
@@ErniLandia Fortunately this movie was made in 1996-97, so Cameron knew what he was doing haha.

they jumped thourght the real set not green set thats why this film is good they are motivated
James cameroon
Titanic - Jack the Hero
Avatar- Jack the Hero
I think he likes the name Jack 😅
A lot of his protagonists' names start with J...
John Conner, Jack Dawson, Jake Sully
Jason borne, James Bond
Can’t forget this boys life he’s wants to be calls jack to 😂
I can't swim. So if I had been there, I'd literally die
Dilip Kumar Borthakur I think the water on the set was very shallow.
same
You should probably take the time and effort to learn how to swim. If children can learn then so can you.
Shame on you. Its essential these days.
Same. My water phobia made learning impossible.
Omg the jumps from these heights were real !

@Abcity kate got sick because she didn't want to wear her body suit....Leo said it in an interview
nice to see that they did a real one and not green screen
They did green screens for some of it, like the scenes at the front of the boat.
Its so funny when you watch the movie the feeling you get and then you see how they made the movie, you are like why i was so depressed
😂😂😂😂😂😂
The scene when the water crashes in through the big dome still haunts me to this day.

The director is 200% in it all involved that’s awesome to see
"make each TAKE count" That's how you motivate background actors.
Of course he had read the original line in the script well before the shoot.

the only missing thing to this replica was to build the entire engine room so it can move.

It was the ocean, but a closed-off area on the shoreline.
