I did such a lot in my garden last year so I am looking forward to seeing what it’s like this year . Keep your bunting up.. it’s lovely, cheers you up in the colder days. Roll on spring Janette

      Hello there Gill and thank you so much - and a big 👍 for voting for the bunting 😂 he hasn’t mentioned it since so I’m hoping he has bigger things on his mind 😂 so glad it’s Friday, and so glad it’s the last weekend of winter 🎉🎉 sounds like you did do a lot last year so I can understand that makes it more exciting to see things happening this year. Have a fabulous weekend 🥰

      Hello there Richard, I’m guessing you must be somewhere in the States as it’s now your morning? Thank you for joining me in my garden today. Last week of winter coming up, we’ve had terrible weather this past week, snow even on Wednesday but thankfully it didn’t stick around longer than a day. Wishing you a very happy Sunday 🥰

    Hi Janette, I'm thinking 3 degrees sounds pretty nice. It's been 34 degrees here today which was at least better than yesterday's 37. Autumn in Australia starts on 1st March but we haven't said goodbye to the heat yet. Not so lovely and definitely no gardening. Your garden is looking great all ready to burst into life. You've done so much work already. Sad about the losses of Winter but so exciting to see the daffodils and all the new shoots that Spring brings. All your new blue little ones are looking so good. I don't know how you remember all those names. I'll love watching them grow. Glad you liked the look of my Jeffersred maple. If it looks like the pictures on the Internet as Winter approaches I'll be so happy. Hope you and Richard have a lovely week. Love Bron xx

      Oh Bron I cannot imagine what 37 feels like, I’m not surprised there’s no gardening on those days. Today it’s another grim rainy windy and cold day here, but clocks change in a few weeks so hopefully the weather will too! Have a happy day down under (from me up over 😂) 🥰

    What a fabulous intro!!! Your garden is looking quite lovely. Here in the US, we pronounce chamaecyparis this way: cammie sipa ris. After a short warm spell, we are back to more chilly temps. Last Friday, we had a very freak and terrifying wind storm with wind gusts up to 80 miles per hour which uprooted many large, old trees all over town, taking electric lines down with them. My electricity came back on last night but there are still some homes without. The wind stripped the petals off my crocuses, bloodroot and a few others but really didn’t seem to harm any other tender vegetation such as daffodils and tulips, thank goodness. When the internet came back up, I was thrilled to see that you had posted a new video - I do enjoy seeing how your garden is doing. 💚 Oh, I love the bunting! Keep it!

    • @TheEnthusiasticGardener
      @TheEnthusiasticGardener  Год назад

      Hello JC and thank you for telling me the pronunciation, I’m going to try and remember that, I was overcomplicating things 😂 but oh my goodness, your terrible storm sounds dreadful, I’m so sorry to hear that, all those beautiful old trees and your plants! It’s scary how devastating the weather can be isn’t it? I hope everything calms down for you all, I really do. Thanks for loving my garden - and in particular my bunting 🎉🎉 I’m going to ignore him … he must have been having a bad day 😂 we had snow yesterday, was supposed to get more last night but I’m pleased to say there’s none when I’ve looked out this morning. Here’s wishing you a wonderful rest of the week, and some good weather for you 🥰

    Your garden looks great for March - here in zone 6 PA/USA it's all gray. Everything is gray.

    Hello I'm Jeanne from Tucson Arizona. I love your videos. You mentioned hostas and snails. I watched a youtube channel called jscursions. She lives in Oregon. She says to go to the feed store and buy crushed oyster shell. Slugs and snails hate to cross over it to get to the hosta. I had a problem with this also when we lived in Washington state but we have since moved to the hot sonoran desert not too far from Pheonix. Just make sure you put it around the plant imediately when you plant. I hope this helps. I love hostas especially the blue ones and I saw in your other video you were looking for blue plants.

      Stephen 🥰 I hope you are wrong and it’s before 1st April, however we’ve had snow this week, it’s so cold here. Ok, challenge accepted and I am going to choose 21st March which is officially first day of Spring. I’ve had enough of all these months of coldness, but I guess I shouldn’t complain as this is such a warm climate compared to what so many of our gardening friends experience. I don’t have one single summer bulb! I need to change that because I need to up my late summer game. So thank you for reminding me to do that. I’ve ordered 4 different cannas and 2 different caladiums from Farmer Gracy in the Netherlands though which should be arriving soon so that’s exciting. I haven’t been able to get any gardening done today so hopefully tomorrow might be a better day, but happy Sunday to you for tomorrow my friend 🥰😊🥰
