I would recommend "Tyler Hadley" and "Columbine" by them :)
those two songs are so fucking good.
Yyyeeessss!!!
Tyler Harley’s a banger…….now I fell bad, I’m gonna go bed.
Heaven's Gate is GREAT.
This band opened for Babymetal on their European tour at the start of this year. It was quite a contrast haha.
I'm not sure if you all noticed it but the part where they are in the jungle the lyrics are being said backwards representing how they have been mentally twisted by Jim
I accidentally found SKYND by googling Katherine Knight during a podcast based on her story. I was instantly hooked. I still find the Katherine Knight video the creepiest (of theirs) due to how accurately she was portrayed. The portions that reenacted the murder was nearly an exact recreation of the crime scene photos . Great reaction video guys!
that happened to me with columbine
If you like skynd you should definitely check out their Gary heidnik track, its amazing.
Katherine knight, and columbine are great too but gary heidnik is one of my favorites
Best video ever
Should definitely check out "Elisa Lam" by them!
Deal!🤘🏻🖤🤘🏻🖤
@@ArsenicAndEspressoPodcast read about The Elevator Game before listening to the song, its important
@@ArsenicAndEspressoPodcast react to Michelle Carter too
Yeeeees a SKYND reaction! Thank you so much for that
Said perfectly!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Small problem with the lyrics you read, the actual lyrics are "nine, oh (as in zero), nine souls" which was a reference to how many people died during the Jonestown Massacre. Other than that great video! Would love to see more reactions to Skynd as all their songs are very different yet always about something true crime related.
Side note: Skynd also opened for Babymetal on their 2020 tour! (noticed y'all did a reaction to them earlier)
Ahhh thank you! That makes sense
If you haven't seen it, there's a docuseries called Truth And Lies, where each episode is a different documentary. The Jonestown episode is amazing. They have interviews with the couple of survivors and Jim Jones' children. They use a lot of really cool footage of different periods in his timeline, including when they shot at the feds when they came to check on everyone. It's really cool
Finally someone paying attention to this amazing band! They capture perfectly the fear of this cases , please keep listening to them :)
I'm glad somebody else is having the type of reaction that I had when I first listened to it this isn't even my type of music per say but something about it's just so addictive and her facial expressions speak volumes
I just stumbled across Skynd a couple days ago and I've been obsessed as well.
When I heard you reading the lyrics, you missed something. She's singing ""9-0-9 souls, don't do this, 9-0-9, oh no more pain now", as in the number of victims at Jonestown, not including the other 9 deaths that day related to the Peoples Temple.
My wife and I laughed at
"I feel... bad *smile*"
I'm glad you like the music. I recommend if you watch another video by them that if you don't know the real life story to look it up. Because Skynd does such a good job of putting facts and culture myths in there songs. So much info. Skynd sometimes hides subliminal info in there songs too. Such a great up and coming band.
Ahhh we can't wait to do another!
This was a great reaction. I am obsessed with Skynd ! The only have like 6 songs but they are all amazing. The lyrics, music, and visuals of the videos are like mini movies. Like someone else commented highly recommend researching the name before reacting. It makes it so much better. Skynd is very accurate with the story. Sometimes the lyrics can seem simple but it hits hard IMO. Subscribed in hope to see more Skynd reaction 🖤
We will definitely do more!
I am obsessed with skynd now. Their music defies being classified. Their voice work, catchy beat, and electronics all add up awesome and amazing music. She descibes herself as gender fluid; sounds cool...
Hey guys, I love your chemistry together. You seem like really nice people! You should definitely check Skynd ft Jonathan Davis - “Gary Heidnik”. It’s my favorite song from Skynd for a while now. Wish you the best and good health ☺️
Ah we saw that thumbnail! We'll definitely get to it. Jonathan Davis is one of Josh's favorite metal vocalist
@@ArsenicAndEspressoPodcast Sweet, can’t wait 😉
She needs to do one about Ed Gein.
That would be amazing, they are such a unique band so glad I found them by accident!!!
This song kinda stroke me hard and this is the best reaction to it I've seen so far. No hoax emotions, studying context, nice analysis. Great job, guys
That's the first time I found a channel which is really interestes in that case of Jim Jones and get deep dive into the materials. Really well done. Love you guys 😍 keep up the great work
I got chills 😊 love SKYND 😍😍 I'm huge fan true crime.... React more...
Yes!!! I got so excited when I saw the notification!
🤘🏻🖤🤘🏻🖤 notification squad!
i run a true crime subreddit, and doing jim jones scarred the hell outta me. a lot of the lyrics are just straight up quotes from the death tape, the recording made during the suicide, and the one that gets me is "don't do this". he's barking that at his own wife, Mrs. jones, who is hysterically trying to save the children. he's telling her to calm down. but there isn't a part of that whole recording that is any good.
If I remember correctly, they actually started with the children first, with the thought that it would make it easier for the parents to kill themselves after watching their babies die.
I’m the same way; if I’m not listening to music, I’m watching or listening to True Crime documentaries. I knew I should have checked out Skynd before, it’s so good!! 🖤💀
Glad you watched! We'll definitely dive into more!
Skynd the best been waiting watching looking everyday for a new video
If you like KoRn, check out the song "Gary Heidnik", which has Jonathan Davis doing vocals.
This is my FAVORITE song from them! If you want another unsettling song from them, I HIGHLY recommend Columbine. I don't know why, but it makes me extremely uncomfortable.
Colombine and Richard Ramirez. Those songs slap as well.
Have you guys every heard the real recordings from Jones town, when he started giving people the cyanide? It´s heartbreaking! Soooo so many of them, refused and was shot.. I don´t feel suicide is the right word for it, cause they litterly refused and was forced or shot... You can hear everything on that recording.. They are screaming and panicking..Horrible! :/ I do love SKYND very much, and I love that they bring focus on the cases that they do, so the victims will never be forgotten.
It's commonly referred to as "murder/suicide"
Great band! So awesome you guys are getting to see them. I think you would like reacting to there songs, each one is a little different from the other.
True crime music! Awesome stuff.
Columbine was the one that got me onto this band! I remember that day and the months following that massacre, so the build up in that song really puts you on edge.
Love you guys, keep up the good work and don't go changing !!!!
they definitely use specific chord progressions. instense chromatic upwards and then like a half step down/ flatten the root . its haunting. they do a lot of that. i guess her father does most of the music side of it. but some songs are just realistically unsettling
Elisa Lam, Gary Heidnik, Tyler Hadley, Jim Jones, Richard Ramirez. I HIGHLY recommend those songs.
I’ve been a fan of serial killers since Ed Gein.
i totally recommend more skynd her music is scary addicting
So very true!! I found SKYND by total accident, so happy I did!! So happy to have found a band that marries two of my interests!!
Kathrine Knight by Skynd is really good as well. All their songs are awesome!
I AM SK HAPPY to see you 2 review/react to SKYND :)
I love you guys!!!!
They should do one about Jeffrey Dahlmer.
Or Dennis Nilsen
Still waiting for a reaction to capture the fact that it's the children of the compound dancing around her a bit before the couples scene. The smaller statutes under the red...children were forced to drink and when they complained Jones golf the parents that they were simply being overreacting children.
Look up how ingesting cyanide actually kills an individual...
Did get the history lesson of them being forced to drink it the children that is as was making this comment. Uncertain maybe it's too obvious for folks to comment on, but it's one of the main things which have always stuck out to i.
Actually went to a tavern and they had killer kool-aid....one it was delicious and got to educate the waitress on what the term meant
Check out the live videos of this song....she’s INSANE live. Incredible vocals.
Lady gaga meets Macabre
I heard that he made a killer kool aid drink plus the band macabre also talks about serial killers
True
I think its a modern take on Skinny Puppy. Not as chaotic just as creepy and dark.
Elisa Lam and Gary Heidnik are my favorites 💖 Elisa Lam’s was badass and creepy AF!!!
you guys should check out Skynds new song Michelle Carter
I dare you guys to check out a more underrated metal band, called Amaranthe, they have an extremely unique sound, and style, which I don't want to spoil, but specifically their new releases "Archangel" and "Fearless" you should dive into
Please react to Michelle Carter Skynd
Fairly major typo there - it's "909 souls", not "9, 9 souls". As in, 909 dead.
"Guana" is bat shit...literally. "Guyana" ( guy.annna) is a country! "909 souls". Great video.
Do Gary Heidnik next
Plus the hit man I respect most is the Ice Man.
I also love NIN.
He actually sent his sons away, im a pastors daughter though im pagan, i watch alot of cult and pastors that scam andwhat not, i am always like how could people believe what they teach? I mean i do get it but dang
Jay and Shag... Cemetery Girl!
This song reminds me of all those people that have accepted to take the V jab
Grape flavored Cianide. Well over 300 +. Fatalities. Also recommend Columbine.
Mantra.
Ted Bundy.
May I suggest the newest. Columbine.
Incredibly boring video tho…..I wish she’d write more actual lyrics.,..I get using the words of the actual person but…..I love the mix of both.
