I accidentally found SKYND by googling Katherine Knight during a podcast based on her story. I was instantly hooked. I still find the Katherine Knight video the creepiest (of theirs) due to how accurately she was portrayed. The portions that reenacted the murder was nearly an exact recreation of the crime scene photos . Great reaction video guys!

Small problem with the lyrics you read, the actual lyrics are "nine, oh (as in zero), nine souls" which was a reference to how many people died during the Jonestown Massacre. Other than that great video! Would love to see more reactions to Skynd as all their songs are very different yet always about something true crime related.
Side note: Skynd also opened for Babymetal on their 2020 tour! (noticed y'all did a reaction to them earlier)

If you haven't seen it, there's a docuseries called Truth And Lies, where each episode is a different documentary. The Jonestown episode is amazing. They have interviews with the couple of survivors and Jim Jones' children. They use a lot of really cool footage of different periods in his timeline, including when they shot at the feds when they came to check on everyone. It's really cool

I just stumbled across Skynd a couple days ago and I've been obsessed as well.
When I heard you reading the lyrics, you missed something. She's singing ""9-0-9 souls, don't do this, 9-0-9, oh no more pain now", as in the number of victims at Jonestown, not including the other 9 deaths that day related to the Peoples Temple.

  • @bradharvey721

My wife and I laughed at
    "I feel... bad *smile*"
I'm glad you like the music. I recommend if you watch another video by them that if you don't know the real life story to look it up. Because Skynd does such a good job of putting facts and culture myths in there songs. So much info. Skynd sometimes hides subliminal info in there songs too. Such a great up and coming band.

This was a great reaction. I am obsessed with Skynd ! The only have like 6 songs but they are all amazing. The lyrics, music, and visuals of the videos are like mini movies. Like someone else commented highly recommend researching the name before reacting. It makes it so much better. Skynd is very accurate with the story. Sometimes the lyrics can seem simple but it hits hard IMO. Subscribed in hope to see more Skynd reaction 🖤

i run a true crime subreddit, and doing jim jones scarred the hell outta me. a lot of the lyrics are just straight up quotes from the death tape, the recording made during the suicide, and the one that gets me is "don't do this". he's barking that at his own wife, Mrs. jones, who is hysterically trying to save the children. he's telling her to calm down. but there isn't a part of that whole recording that is any good.

Have you guys every heard the real recordings from Jones town, when he started giving people the cyanide? It´s heartbreaking! Soooo so many of them, refused and was shot.. I don´t feel suicide is the right word for it, cause they litterly refused and was forced or shot... You can hear everything on that recording.. They are screaming and panicking..Horrible! :/ I do love SKYND very much, and I love that they bring focus on the cases that they do, so the victims will never be forgotten.

Still waiting for a reaction to capture the fact that it's the children of the compound dancing around her a bit before the couples scene. The smaller statutes under the red...children were forced to drink and when they complained Jones golf the parents that they were simply being overreacting children.
Look up how ingesting cyanide actually kills an individual...
Did get the history lesson of them being forced to drink it the children that is as was making this comment. Uncertain maybe it's too obvious for folks to comment on, but it's one of the main things which have always stuck out to i.
