"When you go through something really agonizing, you're gonna open Spotify, you're gonna type Arm's length, and you're just gonna press play". Exactly right imo

I love how he calls Family and Friends "fuckin strange", that song is the one on the album that really caught me off guard.
Describing "Tough Love" as a country song is hilarious. And I agree that it's one of, if not, their BEST song(s). It's my favorite off the album.

It's no secret that this was my favorite album of 2022, but it has kinda prevented me from discovering new music in 2023, I'm still obsessed.
It's interesting to hear Allen walk us through the track list.
Since first listen, I've felt that while the album is very cohesive thematically*, it is very much structured like 2 EPs back to back, with Muscle Memory serving as the outtro for the first half, and intro for the second half.
Also Family and Friends is absolutely weird in the context of the album, but it's like a fuckin Glacial Erratic, something beautiful brought from somewhere else, dropped off by a rogue glacier.
It's also my partner's favorite song on the album, they're kinda obsessed with it.
    ---
*Though not so much as a concept album, but still having songs all connect to each other, like In Loving Memory referencing Muscle Memory.
And Aries getting referenced in Tough Love, among other interconnected bits.
    Aries:
You think fondly of the times we burned smilies on our thighs, safe where no one else could see them. Just as long as you saw mine.
    Tough Love:
I've got some skin that I won't ever show
