In this workshop you will use HAMMER to perform a numerical simulation of hydraulic transients in a water transmission main to determine the effect of a pump shutdown.
Part 7.5 of 16.5.
Applicable Products: HAMMER
Applicable Versions: CONNECT
Thanks!!! very usefull and your pronunciation is perfect!! Great example!!!
Hi Angela, what if there is no check valve in the pump transient (operational)?
Please see option #3 in this article: communities.bentley.com/products/hydraulics___hydrology/w/hydraulics_and_hydrology__wiki/27684/modeling-a-check-valve-or-control-valve-in-a-pump-for-transient-analysis
Thank you for your reply@@bentleyopenflows
Thank you for the video, please can we add data from excel directly ( Elevation + lenght)
Thanks.

@@bentleyopenflows Thank you for help !
May i use Hammer to see the the behavior of a pressure pipe which delivers water from springs at an elevation of 795 m to the tank which is located 5 Km down slope at an elevation of 335 m?
Gerry, HAMMER can be used if the pipe flows under pressure. What event is causing a transient in this system? A sudden valve closure?
@@bentleyopenflows That's exactly !!!!!
@@gerryroberts458 Here is an article with more information on modeling valve closure. If you have any additional questions, please post on our Forum.
