this is verry interesting!! I'm struggling with grafana (TIG suite) alerts because im using variables based dashboard templates (to automatically add new telegraph agents) and grafana do not support alerts with these templates.
mybe using zabix active agent instead telegraf and set alerts in zabbix but just visualized with garafana will work.
what do you think?

Zabbix has templates for vmware, check out their documentation : www.zabbix.com/integrations/vmware

is the graph sync in realtime with zabbix or it calls the api in periodic manner?
also can we export the graph to csv? to do reporting ofc
