  • BUCK 110 FOLDING HUNTER. Created in 1963,and after 54 years ,it's still one of Americas best-selling knives. Originally designed to be a sturdy knife, not as long as a fixed blade. Has hollow ground, clip point blade, made from 420HC or 440c stainless steel, with unsharpened swedge, and nail nick opener. Massive, solid brass bolsters, liners, and pins. Spring pin on old one is brass, on the newer ones it is steel. Appear to have walnut handle scales, but on the Buck website, it states they are "Dymondwood". Lockback design, made in U.S.A., Post Falls, Idaho since 2005 (San Diego, California before that). Comes with black leather sheath, and "Forever Warranty". Thank you for watching! If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comment section below.

Being a teenager in the 80s in a small town in West Virginia, 2 knives were mandatory carry for the outdoorsman. A Buck 110 and a Case trapper. One place in town sold knives and they were pretty expensive for my 13 year old budget,22 dollars for the Buck and 10 dollars for the Case.was the king of my high-school class, when we showed our knives at lunch, love my buck's Thanks for the memories

I bought my Buck 110 13 years ago when I was 18 it's first knife I legally bought when I show it off to my older brother and our friend Jim, Jim got all nostalgic about the knife and told me that when he was a teenager in the 70s the buck 110 and the Schrade clone of the 110 were the two knives to own he said it didn't matter if you carried any other knife on you you had to have one of those to be one of the cool kids growing up where we did in Indiana he told me that he knew lots of people who hunted but nine times out of 10 they would carry a fixed blade to skin the animals they hunted and they would use their 110 as a work knife and from talking to my uncle's and other people I've learned that the buck 110 was the definitive work knife up until the late 1990s my buck 110 has survived a house fire survived being beat on to split wood and still maintains and Edge longer than any other knife I own the buck 110 in my opinion is one of the best knives in the world and I would choose it over any $500 knife with the Specialty Steel and scale materials they make now

Awsome American classic knives. Got my first buck 110 when I was 10. Im 53 now and still collect knives. The 110 was the cause of my first trip to ER to get stiches LOL. I was showing a kid my knife in grade school. When he handed it back to me blade first. When I grabbed it he jerked it out of my hand cutting 3 fingers literally to the bone. Thanks for review of the truly American classic knife. God bless 🇺🇸

I've just begun a vintage 110 investigation. The knife does have it's charms, and I have good memories of these in '70s California, they were common. I'm partial to the squared edges of that era and I still need a 3-pin. You've got some beauties there, your Dad's is the real deal, and I don't doubt your brother-in-law's conviction.
    Good stuff, thanks !

    I have a 112 and 110 I bought whilst in the Army . 75-81
I etched the blades and carved pictures in the brass . I also filed down the handles to fit my hands. It lightened them up quite a bit .
Now I attached the new clip from a buck 110 lightweight on the 110 . Not bad for pocket carry.

Nice video. I have a couple of 110s in my collection (an old one and a newer one) , but for the past 35 + years, my primary hunting knife has been a 112 that I bought in Bangor, Maine in 1979. I prefer the 112's lighter weight while retaining all the positive aspects of the 110 in a more compact rendering.

I've cleaned a lot of deer with the 112 that my late father in law gave me for Christmas in 1988. within a month of getting it, the tip broke off while digging a bullet out of a rotten log. instead of replacing the blade, I rounded the tip, and made an awesome skinner of it. LOL 31 deer seasons later, I'm running short of blade, I just bought a new one, and will retire it,

Just scored a three dot 1980-81 110 and it puts all my other 110's to shame! It feels heavier and stronger because of the squared bolsters and it's built like a tank. It's also the better 440C steel (last year for that) which I honed to a razor. The three dot is what the Buck 110 should look like. It is the masculine version of the 110. The rounded bolsters make the knife look feminine in my opinion. This three dot 110 will be my new edc/hunting/camping blade and will replace all those damn "super duper" steel knives that I have purchased over the years. They all sit in a box collecting dust now.

Awesome video thanks for sharing. I lost a Buck knife back in 1980-1982 Not sure which year. I had lost it out of my sheath while getting out of the car at a bar in New Jersey. When I was leaving the bar I saw a car pull up beside my car the woman jumped out and picked up something beside my car I realized what it was as she jumped back in her car. I holler but she kept going. I'm not even sure where it was after all these years. I live in Maryland not far from NJ. If anyone sees this and knows who got my knife. I'd like to have it back. It was a gift I'd love to have it back. I'd pay a reward for it. Thanks.

Aside from the design, I can’t agree that the classic 110 has withstood the test of time. I bought one with silver bolsters, black micarta, and an s35vn blade, and I hardly carry it. It’s super heavy, the balance is way off, and it lacks the option of an official horizontal sheath. That last bit relegates it to shirt-tuckers who are okay with fanny packs and belt-mounted smartphones. It’s a beautiful thing, though. I pull it out occasionally to fondle and look at.
