My theragun did the same thing, I have the prime model the button layout is different, ended up popping the battery with a flat head taking the casing off.
This exact thing happened to mine. Going to need to do something like this to get it back running. So a year later, how’s the pencil tip holding up for you ? Anything you’d do differently?
No issue so far. Honestly, I wouldn't do anything different unless you could find a piece of metal or something more stable. The mech pencil tip works fine though because it's small enough the strength isn't really put into question. Good luck though and remember it does take force to remove the panels. It seems sketch, but you already have an expensive paper weight so what harm is there really. Maybe in my video you can see where the tabs are and locate spots between them.
Like the rubber fell out or it came without one? If it somehow went missing I would go to your local craft store or kitchen supply for a small silicon mat and cut to size honestly.
Would this also work on the theragun mini? My son dropped it and it seems button is now stuck. It charges but when I press on the button nothing happens. Or do you have a video that you’ve repaired a mini before. Thanks
Never repaired a mini and I'm unsure of the way it's put together, but I would imagine something similar. They had to have gotten it together somehow. If ot's already "broken" what's the harm in trying to fix the expensive plastic toy lol. Best of luck.
WOW! I am super impressed! especially at how relaxed you are doing surgery! I would be freaking out! How is it running these days? Still good? It looks like I'll be attempting my own procedure today. Wish me luck!
@@RD3_R88 I did it!! I can’t believe it!!’ Thank you so much! I ended up using a tiny screw and it was too long so I opened it up again and trimmed it down little by little until it was the right size. The scariest part is opening the gun, because I started to crack the screen. But it turns out the screen inside is separate so it still works just fine.

Yeah Exactly !.. for something that expensive , one expects good customer service.. well, its the total opposite from own personal experience what I have observed via other buyers so far. Issue with mine is the battery issue. (Have you come accross that issue and possibly found a way other than buying a new one, to even so much as manage, at bareable cost, swap the battery itself and give this product the life use and positive health benefits it is suppose to have? The battery is on one side of those panels so if you're any good at soldering you could buy a new matching battery and give it a try. Just a pain in the ass honestly. Plus only coming with a one year warranty for something that expensive is bullsh_t
Hopefully it works out for you! Only made the video because their support is trash for the price you pay. If it doesn't work let me know and I'll try to make a vid 🤘
was this because your theragun didn't turn on? Mine just all of a sudden would not turn on anymore even with charged batteries. I plug it in and I don't see any lights.
No, my issue was somehow the prong or whatever they initially used to press the power switch broke. You could feel there was nothing in there to activate. You may have a similar issue or possibly lost connection on a wire in there. I thought maybe your led screen, but if your is like mine when you power it on it begins right away.
@@RD3_R88 yea for sure and there’s no videos on it either. Like you said though, it’s already not working so I might as well take it apart. Not sure if you can order parts or not, probably not even worth it
I stopped in one of their retail locations the other day and asked about this. I was told there is no repair service and basically I was S.O.L. The guy further went on to explain that he had personally complained to the company and was told they didn't care. He also said that their customer service was worthless (hey, at least he's honest).
Dude! Thanks so much. I would have never attempted fixing the buttons without your video. It’s vastly simple under that button press casing. 👍🏾😎

I'm not familiar with that model. Hopefully easier to crack open than this fine machine.
Thanks bro. I should disassemble my Theragun Prime tonight for self fixing. It helped a lot. BTW, your gun is Theragun Elite. See 2:06

So umm there’s no lil rubber piece for my center button any suggestions? This was pretty helpful

Best of luck in repairing. It seems scary but it's technically already broke so what do you have to lose?

Still runs great. I had to improvise on the mechanical pencil tip because the power button tab just disappeared.

You literally have to pry it open. It feels like you're gonna break something, but they have like 15 tabs locking it down. It's a pain

What kind of battery it has? I need to replace mine, since it's dead when it reach 86% down from 100%
Im not sure honestly. Never popped it out. If you take yours apart and pop it out one of the sides should have writing on it telling you what it is.
