Nice video, I’ve just replaced my timing belt BC I didn’t know the age of the belt either. Would love to see you on a whizzkid meeting in the Netherlands. Are you currently in a GX fan club or something?

Thank you, replacing the belts on old cars gives peace of mind for sure. I'll definitely be attending a meeting after I get the car legal and driving as it should. I-am aware of the club(s) but I haven't joined any of them.

Are the original cooling hoses still present in the car? Those tent to leak after about 20+ years. The original hoses are braided. Replacement of these hoses also give a peace of mind😉

Ah yes all original hoses hahaha.
And that's great advice, all the hoses (except one) are one of the first things I ordered.
      Will definitely be done.

Just buy a spraybottle of Dasty, that will get rid of the gunk

It's no use, even if the rocker cover is clean, there's a whole engine with gunk.
The easiest and save way is to do some premature oil changes. Modern oils contain a lot of solvents that'll take care of this problem.
