This Dave East & Styles-P project gives me goosebumps... it's been a min since I had to rewind parts of a verse like damn what that nigga say? I missed that. Perfect display of technical ability in lyricism. They even used the classic back & forth style, sumn I haven't seen in a while. Time to get back to the true essence of hip-hop.

But beloved just had better songs on it to me. So sonically i enjoyed beloved more than freddy vs jason. Plus styles & east blend better together than fab & jada in my opinion.

I feel real lyricism never left. It's just that hip hop has so many different types of self genres now. Think of it like rock n roll. You have death metal, emo, alternative, grind core, black metal, folk, Christian, etc. Hip Hop is the same way now, it has influenced so many ppl with different backgrounds and theres always a new wave.
