So what makes Cream's level so hard compared to others? Well first I think Sally's level is the hardest (hehe). Second, it's multiple factors. Cream's level is on a time limit for starters. Fail to be quicker than Knuckles at the race and that's a sure Game Over. Ironic as Vanilla said that she shouldn't run away from Knuckles. Teenage Rebellion Prevails Again! But I digress. Not only are you thrown into the knowing that you are essentially on a time limit, the level itself wants you to feel more on edge because of it's mean traps. Boosting at the wrong place makes you fall down. The second to last spring is not exactly next to the wall, so you have to jump back and essentially waste a bit of time. There's a spring at the top which can throw you into a completely new section and can confuse you on which way is right (if you're playing the level for the first time) or just waste your time if you accidentally hit it. The last spring is a super jerk and throws you back into the hallway and wastes even more of your time. And that time limit is short, I assure you. Not sure if the updated version is harder or easier than the old one tho. I'm leaning towards easier, though that might only be my assumption as the major traps are essentially still the same. The layout of the level just changed a bit. Cream's level is however probably the level with the most variety tho. Having a reflex game with spikes as it's next part. I'm honestly pretty sure it's easier than the old version however. Last but not least, the Knuckles and Tails part. Easily the most frustrating thing about Cream's level. Outwitting them is hard to say. It's more that these two have the strangest strategies ever. Knuckles might throw Tails at you or jump up himself. Both are dangerous tactics as one covers the option of you staying on the ground and the other can throw you off and catch you from the air. Knuckles bombs don't make it easier. He throws them in certain intervals. About 3-4 seconds. They can make you change your rhythm constantly and adapt as quick as possible. Pro strat btw: You can try to gain some stamina if you charge away while Tails charges down at you. Knuckles will get hit by Tails and get stunned for a while. It's actually super in character as demonized Tails would actually do that. It's however not sure when Tails will charge down, so you'll have to get lucky. I usually do this if I'm really running low on stamina. Cream's level is very challenging but by far my most favorite alone for that Knuckles and Tails section. It feels like a boss fight but kinda different. Instead of fighting a boss normally, you try to outwit them and make them take each other out on their own. It's certainly super creative and shifts away from your traditional bossfights
About the race, nothing change much except 2 holes can take A LOT your time. Bossfight, trust me, their movement is unpredictable, sometimes you can get caught really fast bc they changed the movement
Oh only two holes were added? I didn't know that. The course seemed so different to me than they were before. Thanks for telling me. Also yeah. The two are pretty unpredictable. Their attacks are random, so you'll have to consider everything they could do at the same time
