Love this video, however I've seen the scenario before. Girl is bullied, (and/or abused) hides away and starts singing for some reason, someone finds her says how good she is (or records it, posts it she becomes famous in 4 seconds), somehow girl over comes depressed, stants up for self and boom that's it. That's not what the song is about tho. It's about a girl who's part of LGBTQ+, or has body image issues. When they say ' I've learned to be ashamed of all my scars,' it means she deals with self harm and hides her cuts not scars caused by other people but caused by herself. She learns to not listen to what others think and except herself for who she is. She is bullied because of her sexuality or of who she is. When they said 'And I know I deserve your love, there's nothing I'm not worthy of!' It means ' I deserve to be excepted for who I am and who I love and there is nothing wrong with me.' The song is about excepting yourself and not just over coming bullying and/or abusive family. Overall this was a good video just out used scenario that's all. If I had to rate it I'd give it a solid 7.25/10!
After finding this song again( and sobbed my eyes out again) I want to make one but with logic, I've always been very insecure about myself and never wanted to show my true self. I can't wait to work on it but school is reopening tomorrow. I hope you would like it thought
