These paints are DecoArt paints I got at the dollar store actually! I use this brand a lot. They are craft paints so they are thin and dry fast but still have decent coverage. They crack if you apply thick layers, but it needs to be pretty thick before that happens.
I use different colours every time I paint this. Any earthy green will workFor the cactus. I’ve been using something called grass green, but many paint brands will have different names for things. For the shadow I use a dark blue, and for the highlights I mix in white. Your background colour can be a mix of any two colours as long as they blend well together.

I used 7x9 for these, but I prefer 8x10 or even 10x10.
