I think the coolest time to be in Japan was in the 80's. I'm a child of the 90's and still tink the 80's was a bit ahead of its time. LOL. this song rocks.
That's the time when Japan was at its all time peak. There were talks about Japan supplanting US as the number 1 economy of the world at the time. The overall attitude of the populace was optimistic and confidence level was high, the can-do spirit permeated 80s Japan, and it's reflected in the media at the time. You can see at the time that Japanese Music, Anime or Drama are mostly closely tethered to reality, or drew inspiration from reality and drew a spirited and inspired tone. After the the economic bubble bursted , resulting in the so called "Lost 20 years", it really did a number on the psyche of the Japaness people. Gone is the optimism and gusto, and replaced with delusion and escapism, its sad. I realize im replying to a 4 year old comment, and a long reply at that, but your comment struck a chord with me, and I rarely met anybody who shared my view on this, so you'll have to excuse me on that.
@@GIN.356.A To be honest entertainment worldwide took a quality hit, USA movies nowaday are pure political indoctrination garbage these days same as comic, the music and their games. At least Japan still produce some stuff of quality compared to the west.
It’s a good one, but I actually like the Oblivion lyrics better. I love everything about 0083 really, including how Top Gun inspired the soundtrack is. Listen to Lead Me On by Teena Marie and tell me that it’s DNA is not in the Stardust Memory soundtrack.
@@Activated_Complex check out Magic by Jacob Wheeler or Back to Paradise by Miki Matsubara. Most of Japan’s singers in the 80’s were women. 0083 represents the greatest of everything 80’s.
UC series, untill now, are admitedly the best series in the whole Gundam by most of Gundam fans probably because it was still create and developed by Tomino-sensei, but i probably overhype it
So does anyone know if there is a live version of The Winner on RUclips. I know it was done by Miki Mastubara by I figured there would be plenty of Gundam heads watching this :P

there were no live performance of the winner. matsubara-san wasnt inclined for type of venue until her death.
