I want to increase the chest size by 1". Where should I increase it? Near the folded side or the armhole side? Do I have to make any adjustment for the shoulder or the armhole measurement? You can reply me in Tamil as I am proficient in Tamil too.
Hi Vinaya Rangappa , very glad to know that my video was useful to you. Thanks for watching it. Actually if you want to increase 1" means you need to increase it right from sleeve to waist. There are 3 lines of stitches paralelly. Better remove first 2lines of stitches , wear and see. Mark where you want to still adjust it for perfect fit. Do it accordingly. The concept is if chest round measurement increased means then obviously armhole, sleeve and waist sizes also increased equally.
Mam, thank you for your prompt response. The problem I am having is that I opened up all three lines of stitching still it is slightly tight. I want to draft a blouse from that blouse for a proper fit following your method. I will try to follow your advice and and let you know how it turns out. I live in Texas, US and it is not easy to find tailors to make blouses here.
