Should you though? That's up to you.
Cheating my way to completing the Community Center should be easy enough, but what if I can ONLY use cheats, glitches, and manipulations to do it?
This is going to be an actual challenge, to play the game in a way it wasn't meant to be played and use all the glitches I can at my disposal to fill out every bundle, while also HEAVILY restricting anything else I can do. If I can't cheat it, I can't do it.
Welcome to the Glitches get Stitches Farm, where if I'm too legit, I must quit.
No Mods are used on this run, though I do use Animation Canceling and reference to the predictor and BlaDe's map predictor from time to time.

Lol that was a ... fun time
To expand on a bit more of the restircitons I didn't go over in the video, I went with "hardest method is best." So, even though I found a few things from the merchant I could have bought, like a pumpkin, crystal fruit or whatever, that was not acceptable. Too easy ya know? lol
Again, anything collected that wasn't found via "cheat" or in an unaccessible area by my, was thrown in the ol trash can.
Receiving gifts took priority. Caroline sent Cauliflower and Potato. Emily sent wool and cloth (and sea urchin but I went with tide pools for that.) Demetrious sent nautilus shell and Bream. Linus sent Maki Roll, Catfish, Largemouth Bass. Clint sent all three bars. Purple mushroom came from the Wizard. I didn't meet the wizard in the normal way, I decided to wait until I could visit him through the witches hut to make it more fun.
The only things I could buy from the trav. merchant were items that I didn't have ANY other way of obtaining, which were: Poppy, Rabbit's Foot(can't access skull cavern) Pomegranite, Apple, Large Eggs, Large Milk, Duck Stuff, Tomato, Truffle, Tree Fruit and Red Cabbage.
Crops from mixed seeds were: corn, pumpkin, eggplant, pepper, wheat, and blueberry and melon from the island.
The desert let me get honey, cheese, hay and cloth if needed, plus omni geodes for 1000 a pop to help unlock the sewers. My main source of wood from the coconut trees, and then chipping down hardwood from mahogany trees grown in the quarry from seeds found in the secret woods.
The Quarry was my source of certain forage, more geodes, and Oak Resin from the haunted skulls. The quarry mine also gave mixed seeds in crates and was where I got the 99 stone needed too.
The Summit path can spawn sweet pea and crocus, the mountains/quarry can not.
The sewers were needed for the void egg, which was the egg I wanted to use for my fried egg to be cooked at the island kitchen. A long ways to go for one cooked dish, but alas, it is done.
What I needed from the mines day 1-4 were: crab, yam, ghostfish, geodes and mixed seeds. I sold my extra ore to Clint.
The 13 wallpapers for items gave me all the spring forage, a parsnip, aquamarine, quartz, fire quartz, frozen tear, earth crystal, cave carrot, cactus and coconut. Items from wallpapers took priority over all other potential methods, as this is clearly a straight out cheat to me.
Purchases and selling: I could buy 1 sunflower seed from joja on a Wednesday, Honey and geodes from Sandy, a phone, woodchippers for maple and chairs from Robin, wallpaper catalog and backpacks from Pierre, egg from Krobus, cheese, hay and cloth from the desert trader. I can sell clay to Robin on Tuesday, and Fish to Willy on Rainy Saturdays. No selling restrictions to Pierre becuase I just want to clean him out of money and am a monster. Clint I sold to only when I had geodes to crack open, usually on a Friday as that's his day off when the community center is completed, but that wasn't a requirement for me.
The only items I crafted were: chests, paths, 1 scarecrow, bug steaks and cherry bombs.
IMO you shouldn't have harvested any crops and had Junimo's do it for you because that shouldn't be possible

It helps a lot! Sometimes I pick all my crops until I find a gold one, remember where it was and reset the day to only pick that one too.
@@Wickedy So if you only harvest the gold quality ones, and then go to sleep, will the quality of the others change the next day? That's brilliant.

In a regular playthrough this is also a great way to collect your honey from a massive bee farm without accidentally pulling up any of your prized flowers. Can't harvest if your inventory is "full"

😄I wouldn't have the patience for even 1 of the mail resets, much less all the rest, though I'm glad you found the living hat to give you the sign to stick with that run... Or else you might still be resetting. I hear they can get to you... 💜💜💜
Covering the spots for foragables to spawn was so cool! I didn't even know you could do that. I might try that in my own gameplay just to make collecting them easier. Such a fun video, thanks for sharing 🧙🏻♀️
I did it at the beach too, but during the extra shell season in the summer some still popped up. But it might be because I didn't cover the "rocks" and "hard sand" spots as normal forage doesn't show up there.
This was a really fun twist on a glitch challenge, the rules you added definitely upped the spice level 👌I'm clueless about all glitches (except the Secret Woods one) so all of them blew my little mind 😆Thanks for the fun content as always!

this was brilliant but also seems like it could be SO stressful, also never knew you could chair skip into the bug lair!!
It took a lot longer than I was expecting, I almost thought the tide pools out of bounds didn't work anymore too, until I played around with the settings and figured it out. The bug lair one I learned while researching for this video and I'm tempted to try it in another play sometime.

I don't know if Wickedy knows this but you should talk to Gus. Idk if he got updated but he's supposed to have repeating dialogues each time you talk to him and you'll get the items from him every time. You can talk to him an unlimited amount of times.

To me, there is no such thing as "cheating" in a single-player game. Do whatever you want to keep it fun, sez me. I think of tricks, mods & glitches as "shortcuts" - so watching you "cheat with rules" was like watching a cliff diver: very cool to see; but not for me, thanks.
I don't use the "name-cheat" in Stardew, preferring to call my farmer something silly (usually insulting) - because I always forget - then get a giggle when Pierre says "Look, it's Farmer Idjit!" or Abigail tells me "You're the best Dork" (or some such).
I've twiddled Skyrim (and Oblivion & FNV) for myself, but never tried modding Stardew - however I have used mods (esp CJB) for early access to late-game stuffs - again, shortcuts. Rimworld is the one and only game I've never played - nor wanted to - UNmodded...
What am I on about? Right, fave part HERE: you tease about a "new & easier" clay farming pattern, which sounds nifty, but I must have missed a memo, cuz I dunno what that actually is. Cheers (sorry to prattle-on)
Clay farming is fascinating! Basically clay will be under any specific tile and it has a pattern that moves after you dig. I've watched a few videos about it, and recently someone came up with a better pattern to dig to collect more in a faster time. It's a "manip" or mechanic used often with speed runners. A good video of the original way is here ruclips.net/video/wL11C3lveGs/видео.html The "new" pattern is simpler, starting from the first spot, you can dig up to 9 times, then move to the first spot you dig, move to your left, demonstrated here ruclips.net/video/IEb5mVtkKBE/видео.html
It takes a few tried to get the pattern down, but when you do, it can be a very therapeutic thing, like making a zen garden or something.

Cheers again... and I suspect that just maybe, deep down, you might not so very terribly horribly "wickedy" after all...

A very easy glitch to dupe items:
Step 1: Place down a chest
Step 2: Obtain 10 unique items (or one more than your backpack capacity)
Step 3: Pick up the item you want to dupe by filling your inventory
Step 4: Spam press “Organize” while holding the duping item
Step 5: Place items into the chest to pick up duped items
Step 6: Pick up a single duped item for a new stack
Step 7: Place all duped items into the stack
You should now have large amounts of your desired item. If you want more, repeat the process.

Sometimes the Merchant has Wild Plums for sale and possibly Crystal Fruit.
Loved how the Bus still brings you home from the Desert.
I loved watching the video, but I also know I could not do this. Even just remembering the glitches would be hard, let alone throwing out perfectly good Resources that are only contaminated by being collected in the wrong place.
I cried a few times tbh. I found some good stuff and it all just had to go down the trash shoot.
Wickedy I have a really important question. Can you still find the red cabbage in year one if you don't have it enabled in advanced settings. I started a world and I forgot to enable it and I'm dreading having to start over.
Absolutely! Checking the box just makes it easier. The cart can sell it year one, though it's rare. You can also spend some time in skull cavern hunting mummies, serpents and purple slimes to try to get a seed, I like to use monster musk and "farm" level 1 over and over by leaving and re-entering. I love doing the duplication glitch, I don't think you can do it on PC but you need at least two people. If you wanna know how to do it here's how: If you can't get someone to join you, you can also connect another controller and do it yourself. For items you can't place on the ground, place it on a table. Once the items on the table, make sure you and the second player are facing the table. Press A at the exact same time, and you should dupe it. If it's a placeable object break it at the same time with the second player

If you have a controller you could've built an extra cabin, connected it, and made and extra player so you couldve duplicated items

quick question, how do you know which crops are only gold quality?
The first time, I picked all my crops and paid attention to each spot picked. The gold quality one is always in the same spot that day, so I paid attention to each spot, wrote it down and reset the day to ONLY pick those that are gold. It shows you in your toolbar what your crop quality is when you pick it.

That is something that I added in the edit, because I like having a visual for people to keep track of. It's not in the game, or a mod even. Just something I add for fun!

I notice playing with the name cheat the towns folk early say all the codes in your name. I think I’m going to reset the game and put the main items I want for the 1st two codes.

I loved the entire thing, start to finish!!! 😂💜👏 IF, though, I had to point out a favorite mechanic or bit, it'd be the extensive Indiana Jones inspired hard work and endless effort made to forge your way into the sewers, deep below Pelican Town, obtainable only after endless research, ultimately filled with worldwide travels, trials, and travails, dealing with ignoble, untrustworthy, obstinate locals and questionable traveling traders of ill repute, waves of deadly fights against monsters never imagined or encountered outside of folklore, throughout treacherous terrain from monsoons while out in rivers and oceans to snowy summit peaks covered in little flora amongst the deadly boulders and trees to desperate archeological digs in blistering desert heat and on ancient volcanic islands ...
for the split reasons of:
1) Obtaining a precious void egg, which you must've carefully wrapped, in the way of your ancestors, and hidden within your living hat (until it turned into something akin to an 100-year-old-egg), while you traveled to far-distant islands to find its fire-breathing ancestors...or prey...Only to ultimately fry the precious void egg that you had carried with you so carefully in the ancient fires into a fried egg! (I assume, of course, that you traveled so far away to avoid to personal shame and intense pain you would've caused to that particular egg's caregiver, Krobus, and not out of sheer insolence and malice, but I know what they say about making "assumptions." 🥺 )
And
2) Of FINALLY finding and retrieving The Dark Talisman, rumored to have once belonged to one within your family, long, long ago... except when you followed the family fable, clue by careful clue, it led you to a den of despair instead of the answers for which you so desperately desired! Without the slightest whiff of defeat, you are most sure, you carefully covered considered the entire hut until a curiosity caught your eye; a curiosity indeed as a whiff of the potent ink made identifying its owner a breeze, especially when the scent wafted from a suspiciously clean circle in the corner. Just one step and a whoosh and that scent sharpened all around as the hut changed into a tower, full of swirling, colorful mists and a mustiness you had grown quite accustomed to during your many travels throughout the valley and forests over the years, and though you'd never seen the man in the middle before, you felt a tug of familiarity.
(I'm sorry any creativity I had ran out by Part 2. This took so long and I run out of all of my steam so quickly! 💜)

Ngl I’ve had some close friends actively trying the chair glitch and it just plain doesn’t work /: I don’t know if 1.5 fixed that and lots of people are still on 1.4 but who knows.
It works in 1.5. You’ll see that wickedy goes to ginger island (only added in 1.5) and does the chair trick in this video
They didn't add the ability to sit on chairs until 1.5, which means 1.5 couldn't have fixed the bug lol.

I'm on 1.5 and it has always worked for me.
