Ray Charles went Country before Beyonce!

I'm posting this because it helps set in a historical context Beyonce's country album. Ray went there first, sixty years ago, and we touch on that subject. And i loved the music of Ray Charles and it shows!

As well as The Pointer Sisters back in 1974, with a song they wrote that went to #1 on Country Music charts. They also would win a Grammy for best country single. But Ray Charles certainly takes the cake. It was his best selling album, and was played constantly through the 60s.
