Cool video. I need more great poliziotteschi films in my life (I think, I am for now over Shaw Bros, haha, I broke the spell).
I would say for me it is something like:
    Rome, Armed to the Teeth
The Cynic, the Rat & the Fist
    Violent Naples
    Almost Human
    Gang War in Milan
Free Hand for a Tough Cop
    Syndicate Sadists
    Brothers Till We Die
    Manhunt in the City
    From Corleone to Brooklyn

Yeah!! I saw on letterboxd you were hitting a lot of Chor Yuen.
Thanks for sharing. In some ways our tastes line up, in others a bit different.

@@italianpoliziotteschigialli Yes. Would be boring if everyone had the same opinion. :-) And a lot depends on the day I am watching a film. I am afraid I have seen all or most of Chor Yuen good ones now. Looking for a substitute ...

@@the3rdpillblog934 I saw you saw Intimate Confessions, which is by far my favorite. I think I got tired of all the Gu Long adaptations at a certain point. His early Shaw stuff like Duel for Gold or The Bastard might be of some interest if you want more variety.

@@italianpoliziotteschigialli I liked the more "dream logic" / strange ones a lot. Confessions was good - I was a little bit reminded on Teruo Ishii (in a weird way). I guess my fav is Death Duel, Thanks for the recommendadtion will check them out when I have the chance.

@@the3rdpillblog934 Yeah I can see the Ishii comparison, same era as his most well known films too. Death Duel is a good one for sure.

I agree on Almost Human being in a league of its own but Rome Armed to the Teeth and Brothers till we die have to be top tier for me. Milian's monologue before he force feeds laxatives to the rich people in the club is an absolute classic. Not sure how well it translate in English though. There are quotes from a popular roman song in dialect that are instrumental to the meaning.

You know I haven't watched those in a few years so maybe I should've. I'm also a little less attracted to the comedy in the genre than others, so it could definitely be what you mentioned as far as a combination of English and cultural translation.
      Cheers!

Thanks for the sub! Much appreciated.
Sure, just shoot me a message. If we can work out the times, it's always more fun to talk Italian genre films with others.
