listen I'll give you guys a breakdown of why I think this is carti's best song but imma explain the video first carti is taking a lot of influence from Scandinavian music right now his creative director sexisdeath (rose Marie johansen) is from Denmark and is an illustrator/tattoo artist who works with a lot of black metal bands one in particular that I see carti taking influence from is burzum which Kanye also is taking a lot of influence from right now that is why there is such an abrasive industrial and minimalistic vibe to al the music videos if you look at his creative directors visual composition for her own work its very very similar to that. As for the song though I really enjoy it because of the beat its very interesting the use of symbals and ambient synths and guitars makes it so weirdly intoxicating plus the downward driving flow carti is using makes is feel like there is an immanent danger throughout the whole song which is so fucking hype im ngl. but yea I hope this opened yalls minds a bit more
Personally I love experimental shit. I like music that is larger than life, that pushes boundaries, crosses genres, n shit. When Carti dropped on Fien, I immediately knew he unlocked something with this new deep voice aesthetic that wasn’t rlly present in his baby voice era. Dark aesthetics in art are already interesting and attractive to me, mixed with the embrace of punk/rock it fits perfectly. Ketamine and Hoodbyair are my favorites, both produced by Cardo. Those beats are crazy Batman/Nightcrawler vibes fr which I fuck with heavy. Honestly can’t wait for the album. I do respect Marloon heavy tho, he stuck with his opinion while also being open minded n non biased. In the end if you don’t fw it you don’t fw it that’s your personal taste, but I respect him for giving it thought and fairly criticizing Carti’s fans 😭 that’s my 401 brother right there
