Great thoughts, thank you for sharing. Yes, I read To the Lighthouse and loved it. It changed my views of different situations that I have been involved. My current book is The Colony. I listen to it via Scribd. The first chapter with that lovely Irish accent will make your day. ❤️

Last night I finished To The Lighthouse and glad I did. Lovely writing and imagery. I’ve not heard about The Colony. I’ll check it out. Is it any good?

@@LifeLessonsFromBooks I have it in audio with the lovely Irish accent. It was long-listed for the Booker. I am half way through. Starts out very funny, then gets serious a bit historical and philosophical and also sensual. I love the innocence of the Boy James and the inner dialogues of his mother and more... I wonder how you would like it. To hear the Irish accent of the reader is a bonus.

Have you read The Four Agreements?

Aw shucks. Thank YOU 🙏. I haven’t read The Four Agreements so I looked it up on GoodReads and placed it into my Want To Read shelf. Thank you for this recommendation.

Im in the middle of reading Stolen Focus, it is definitely worthy book, and beings out many thought.
As a reader how important to you the stats that he uses? Was that 20-30% shrink in focus smth that impressed you? Because in the criticism of the book it is pointed out that some statements and research were a bit manipulated with. Have you read any criticism on the book?
    Thanks for a video!

Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. I take everything with a grain of salt meaning that if there’s something that stands out for me, I’ll research it or check the references. Overall though, given that I was reading the book for an overall impression, I didn’t delve deeper. However, I did contemplate if there were associations, organisations or support groups for this aspect. My observations and experiences show that social media impacts us negatively. I think he only gave one organisation who is helping. I would have liked to have seen more in depth resources of this area.

The funny thing is I got to this video after watching about 2 hours of youtube , and realized that youtube has become my new bad habit. sigh. Sometimes I am seriously tempted to simply get rid of the internet in my house to break the screen addiction.

Ha! Tell me about it. RUclips is addictive for sure but it’s also educational. I find I have playlists but I tend to play through my own playlists so I come away less guilty but feeling like I’ve learned something. Eg. I now add French videos so I can use it as an excuse to listen and improve my aural French. What I don’t like? The shorts! They are addictive and before you know it, they suck you into it. They become weirder and worser and you go into it. I need to find a way to turn these off. I don’t want them appearing at all.
