What a great session. I always loved Janice Long and John Peel weekdays on R1, both shows totally unmissable. Sadly both no longer with us. I'm guessing this must be from a re broadcast as Janice's show was only ever on MW back in the day
No it wasn't... On Radio London Kid Jensen & Janice long were on FM from about 8pm onwards so you prayed the wouldn't play 1 or 2 session tracks before 8
Deebank was arguably the most influential guitarist in my own music he will never be forgotten doesn't really matter how many people listen. I'm sure he himself doesn't care. He's probably looking to affect individuals, if he even cares about that. He's not looking to affect the masses or has an ego around the fact.
I don't think Van Gogh and other famous artists unknown during their time, the Russian authors of the 1800s really cared about anything but producing work that corresponded to their individual stylistic view of their art and the world around them. Commercialisation of art is a product of Western society and capitalism, not that anybody who profits from their art is wrong for it. Right place right time.
The picture is maybe a little more complex. Deebank himself said in an interview that he was frustrated that Lawrence didn't want to rehearse and perform more; from his point of view, they couldn't get the momentum going since they appeared in public only about once a month during the time he was in the band. He was willing to invest more in the band but Lawrence didn't seem to understand or want that.
@@soup_is_good_food5743 Thx for that......having achieved such brilliance, it's such a waste he didn't continue alone or find other musicians.....I found his solo album disappointingly bland though........
Deebank playing like the boss he is. If he ever wanted to do a gig of him just playing Felt stuff instrumentally with a band then count me in. More chance of pigs flying outside my window though haha.
この4曲アルバムの中でも特に好き。FELTの3rdは今までに何回聴いたかわからんくらい好き(軽く100回以上は聴いてる)。10枚のアルバムの中で3rdが一番好き。
I love this band, thank you for sharing.
Really beautiful guitar playing by Deebank here. Just lovely music all around, wonderful.

Didn't know this existed until Tim Burgess tweeted it, sadly along with the news that Janice Long has died.
First time hearing this. Sounds a little bit like the Church. Researching Janice Long.
