  • ▶︎▶︎ www.udemy.com/... - Sometimes a document doesn't make it from Sketch to another application without a few little hiccups. There's a very strange and obscure trick within Sketch to flatten and rasterize a layer or group to simplify the vector complexity into a simple PNG image. It's not perfect but it's faster than a number of other ways of doing things.

Thank you for this awesome trick. Has this always existed? I’ve been doing this the wrong way for so many years in Sketch. Through I’ve made the switch from Sketch to Figma recently. What do you think about Figma?

Ditto what Anthney Jane said. I tried this, and it didn't work. I just got a 3x bitmap (like your first example in the video). Sketch must've changed something with their latest update :(

Such a breath of fresh air to come across someone putting out original, quality content. The fact that you delve into some of these intricacies Sketch related, the handful of us that come across your channel really appreciate it. Thanks a bunch.

Doesn't seem to work anymore. Shows up as large bitmap even after adding the @3x suffix

Hey Joseph really enjoying all your Sketch information and tutorials. Would really love see a new video about how you manage the different states of Symbols (Disabled, Default, Inactive, Active, Hover etc.) and keep everything strcutured. Also would love to see a video one the best plugins you currently utilize in your daily workflow in Sketch. Have great rest of the day :)

Im using Sketch 4 and the hold option and drag trick isn't working for me either. Is there another way of doing it?

Not working for me, I get the flatten file but 3 times bigger (same when you exported it)
