I have been to Mayrhofen last year and really liked it - considering Saalbach for this year but also considering going back to Mayrhofen as I know a lot of the runs and lifts etc. Great videos - well done
Do it. I also have been many years to Mayrhofen, great there, no doubt. But Saalbach-Hinterglemm is exceptional when it comes to slopes and infrastructure. Also Apres-Ski and nightlife is great and comparable to Mayrhofen.

For the most part what Saalbach considers blue runs, especially the village runs, would certainly be classified as reds or even blackj elsewhere - and is quite evident in the video! Also because the resort is at a low altitude there are problems with moguls at the end of the day. I wouldn't recommend the resort for beginners or unsteady intermediate skiers. For confident skiers the resort is very compact and the lift systems is great.
We are off to zell am see again in 2 weeks time. I am hoping that our ski pass that is included in the hotel is the Alpine Ski pass so we can head over to Saalbach for a couple of days to explore some new pistes. Also your rating numbers at the end of the video did not match what you were saying in all cases. Just so you know. Keep up the good work. Love your videos, very informative and well presented no matter how jealous they make me on a bi-weekly basis.
@@niek3839 we are extremely lucky. Our hotel has confirmed that we have the Alpine pass with our reservation. With the comment. "you have a lot of ground to cover - you will be busy"

Definitely not, grooming in Saalbach is exceptional. But the best groomed piste goes to shit when thousands of skiers ride on it, and the ski area is very well known and loved. So it’s a bit overrun especially during the holidays and weekends.

Hi Boris, price. beginners can save money on their vacation for a much smaller resort. of course the facilities and tuition levels are at the highest level though.
i see you do a bit of skiing, watched many of your videos. so you know resorts. but there are good seasons, bad season and in between ones. there are times when there's a few yrs in a row of average seasons. then you get a period of good seasons with a bumper high snow fall season. it goes in cycles. Austria resorts are within, and surrounded by the alps. unlike say French ones that are on the edge of the alps. so they can afford to have lower heights but maintain enough cold to keep the snow. try that in say Morzone/Port du soleil..... it doesn't hold the snow low down nearly as well as Austria low resorts do. just my observation.

I was just there this week 😀 btw in German the H is pronounced. It's not Interglemm.

the audio scores are the right ones, regarding intermediates skiers and resort nightlife scores ( at 11:09 and 11:35)

How about snowboarders please?
Are there a lot of narrow or flat areas? 😳
1Flyingfist Not a lot of flat areas. Seemed fine for boarders. Also the link to Zell am See is good.

Can garantee you it is not. They never do this so they can keep their price low while still offering "free pass included"

Some of the verbal scores don't match those shown on the screen.
Yap, sorry for that. the voice over are is the right one( Intermediates 9, nightlife 8.5 )😬😘
Why are the slopes so ungroomed? Is the snow preparation bad on this ski resort?
Definitely not, grooming in Saalbach is exceptional. But the best groomed piste goes to shit when thousands of skiers ride on it, and the ski area is very well known and loved. So it’s a bit overrun especially during the holidays and weekends.

Why only 7.5 for begginers? what are the disadvantages?

@@SkiResortsVideo Also the blues in Saalbach are much more difficult than other resorts
All these low altitude resorts (
