The new building to the right of the Haunted Mansion fits in with the rest of the theming as well as a Cybertruck fits in with the rest of the traffic.
I like the overall look. Great detailing throughout. Sure, the music is for the Nightmare overlay, so it works. I hope there's a bit more subtlety outside when classic Mansion returns. A Grim Grinning Ghosts soundtrack in queue will diminish hearing it entering the foyer, I feel. Hope there's more the sounds of occasional wind. Leaves rustling. Animal sounds near the grave markers, etc.
I dont think the music is for the holiday overlay but I also agree, it should be more subtle. I wish they would have some of the phantom manor suite play instead of the ooky spooky stereotypical music.
@@ryan7032 I was very sure that it's not coming back anymore cause I was told by someone else that it's now retired. But I hope that's the case and that the music box bgm will return in the next day or two.
Although the sculpting is very good, the whole design isn’t cohesive. It’s as if the sculptors were told to do some bitsy fun stuff, and they nailed them to the walls later.
I am very impressed with the queue, and the new music is so good! The mausoleum in particular greatly exceeded my expectations. The style of detail is very similar to the treehouse, which makes me wonder if they have a team of Imagineers that solely works on Disneyland exclusive projects.
They do. About 15 years ago, before the 55th, they installed Imagineering offices at every park, and they have their own teams. Currently, the head of the Disneyland division is Kim Irvine, she is solely and permanently assigned to lead the Disneyland division of Imagineering. So projects like the Treehouse and Haunted Mansion queue are under her leadership...more corporate projects like Galaxy's Edge are managed by higher-ups.
@@atwoodsmariano It wasn't shown in the video, but the pet cemetery is in the same place as before. You can see it in the background near the end of the queue walkthrough :)
I was just there last month. This ride made me so happy, I may have cried. It was towards the end of night, and I was in immense pain from dislocating my ankle 2 weeks prior. But it was amazing.
Love the extended queue, it reminds me of Return to Oz when the Emerald City turned to stone and when Dorothy explores the Gnome King's ornament room 💚
Looking forward to seeing that when I'm there next Tuesday, December 3rd!!!!! Hopefully the park won't be busy that week because schools start again! Can't wait again!!
Tuesday was packed, huh? We were there Monday and it was great. Felt like the park was at about 60%. I had hoped Tuesday would be even slower. We were wrong! It was way busier. Still, a day at Disney so it was wonderful.
It looks Brand New without any spookiness. Universal’s Epic Universe is done perfectly. Disney is being much too careful in not making anything scary, not even The Haunted Mansion. So Bland 😢
Wow! Disney Imagineers bought a bunch of crap out of the Toscano catalog! How impressive! It looks like a spooky Olive Garden now! Yea! Anyone old enough to remember the days when actual accomplished, visionary artists like Marc Davis, Claude Coats, Yale Gracey, Rolly Crump, Blaine Gibson, Alice Davis & Leota Toombes labored over creating entirely unique, original details for all of their attractions? Now you just order a bunch of stuff online and slap it up. Pathetic. I remember the days when Disney/WDI actually cared about quality. And don't get me started on that Home Depit tool shed they're passing off as a giftshop, smack-dab in the middle of HM & Tiana...
Honestly it doesn’t look cheap at all, it honestly looks better than most recent Disney Parks stuff (with the exception of Pandora, Galaxy’s Edge, and Cosmic Rewind)
@@Sorcerer-SMC it LOOKS cheap, but not really from a money standpoint, on a intellectual side. They could have devlopped so much around the lore of the mansion, like build the garden shed (where the scared graveyard keeper lives) and they could have also aged the walls a bit, i know walt wanted the mansion exterior to be clean but that doesn't mean that everything should look like it was made 2 days ago. I'm sad a bit with what they do with leota's image it doesn't feels they are using this character for cohesion of the story (exept for the shop) but more as a sort of political placeholder like what disney is used to do since 2019, she have nothing to do with the garden and is not master of this house so why sticking her head everywhere (once is enough) and the music... Useless to say (disney always used to do that) when you get into a scary attraction you need to build up your ambience, by putting slow eerie music and some sound effect, or just no music at all, It's not what they did, and judging of the production quality it might stay after the holiday overlay...
I hope that this new queue gets halloween/christmas decor next year

Thanks for recording this (and including the actual ride at the end)!

The queue looks nice, but I don't like the music they replaced. the music box sounded beautiful and fit with the aesthetics of the holiday overlay.
The music box is most likely coming back. They're still testing the normal mansion soundtrack.

I KNOW I AM LITERALLY SO DEVASTATED

Almost like they bought them from the outdoor section of a home decor store . . .
I think that's the goal...
Looks like stuff you buy in home depot garden center
The Disney Influencers won’t notice 😂

am I the only one who can't see the pet cemetery in this video by the way or has it been moved? it was always one of my favorite parts of the queue

thanks for uploading this video - can't wait to see this in person
it looks great
I see the Orlando and a little bit of the Paris waiting queue influences here.
Great Channel! Nice work!

The garden queue line looks so beautiful!
Cant wait to see this in person in a few years. Wonder how it looks at night
HAPPY HAUNTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Those colored glass balls look totally out of place
1:11 Haunted Manson Easter 🐇 🥚
Awesome! ☺❤ Merry Christmas!🎄🎁🎀
I was expecting some more interactive elements, but I guess some yard decorations from Home Goods is all they could budget in.

@elinolasco-vj5jm and I didn't ask for yours bub lol. No one asks for anyone's opinions on videos dude. That's how open comment sections work.
Biggest complaint has to be the lack of shade.
More shade than the original queue
HAUNTED MANSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not a fan of the colored gazing balls

they changed the music of the queue!!!!!! No way!!!
Looks like the Garden Section at Lowe’s……. It sucks.. ( not all of it, but most of it…. And the new carriage house just doesn’t fit in at all )
What was that banging near the urns?
It was a loose grate people were stepping on in the queue

So what were those folks doing at 5:25? What is in the mausoleum?
I love your channel
Lol, Dave Cameo
This is cool and all but I also liked when I went a week ago and had a boarding group and just walked right on.
The stucco doesn't read "New Orleans" to me but I'm sure, over time, it will look better
I went November 16 and Disney felt so overly priced to me but this is quite nice
I liked being able to see how many people were on line ahead of me without all these walls so I could make the most of my time at Disneyland, but...
Does this mean that Haunted Mansion will have a standby queue instead of using Virtual Queue?
Yup it’s back to standby 😊
@ Bro I went to Disneyland yesterday, the heck Disney 😭😭😭
