Flemish Bend

The Figure Eight bend, also known as the Flemish bend is a variation on the Figure Eight Follow through but this time its tied with two separate ropes.
By using the the Figure Eight bend you can easily tie two ropes together with a reliable knot that is safe to climb on. The Figure Eight bend is called a bend because its used to tie two ropes together. The knot itself is very bulky and therefore it's not used very often. But it is simple to tie and simple to remember.
